The Harpers Bazaar Dukes Of Melrose Launch Event held at The Terrace at Sunset Tower in Los Angeles brought out a bunch of celebrities as Bravo looks to have another reality tv hit. The show is follows the operations of the store Decades, owned by Christos Garkinos Cameron Silver. That’s about all we know aside from reporting that the series premiere is scheduled for March 6th. For more info, visit Dukes of Melrose at BravoTV.com.
In conjunction with the 85th Academy Awards, The Hollywood Reporter Nominees Night 2013 was held at Spago in Beverly Hills. You’ll notice that the attendees are practically a repeat of those who attended the Nominees Luncheon with Morena Baccarin swapping for Anne Hathaway. As you saw in another earlier post, Morena covera the March issue of GQ Magazine. So to repeat ourselves, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, and Naomi Watts are up for Best Actress while Amy Adams is up for Best Supporting Actress. Check out the full list of nominees. For more info, visit the Academy Awards official website.
Woohoo! It’s about time GQ caught up with Morena! Let’s hope this is just a sampling of the full shoot in the March, 2013 issue.
For those of you bastards who haven’t been keeping up, Morena Baccarin’s one of the main stars of the Showtime hit series “Homeland,” so make sure you check her out. Normally she does sci-fi projects or dramas, but Morena’s set to venture outside her comfort zone with the upcoming comedy “Old Days,” starring Morena in the lead along with Nick Swardson & Michael Rosenbaum (also the director & writer). Here’s some plot action:
Unsatisfied with his career as the face of a nationwide television campaign, Jim Owens heads back to Indiana for his High School Reunion. In an attempt to relive the Old Days, he forces his humdrum friends to take revenge on their abusive high school principal, wreaks havoc on their respective marriages and falls in love with the girl he left behind… who’s supposed to get married in five days. I’m sure there numerous other women who belong on the list, but these are just a few of the women that stuck out like sore thumbs. Unfortunately for Kristen Wiig, she got a lot of airtime in her ugly dress alongside Will Ferrell when they did their little comedy skit before presenting Jennifer Lawrence with the Best Actress award (Musical or Comedy) for “Silver Linings Playbook.” The dress simply highlights all the negatives about her figure.
Cody Horn: Did they have extra black fabric or what b/c that little strip under the neck looks a little odd.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus: Dress might look alright, but it does nothing for her figure.
Sienna Miller: This is the best she could find? I’m not diggin’ the flowers that are sticking out…
Morena Baccarin: I don’t say this often, but I think I liked her with with shorter hair. Also, the dress looks like he’s designed for a much older woman.
So the event to be at last night was the 2013 Miss Golden Globe Awards hosted by the HFPA and InStyle at Cecconi’s restaurant in West Hollywood. However, the actual honoree of “Miss Golden Globe” didn’t make this megapost of attendees. Francesca Fisher-Eastwood was named Miss Golden Globe 2013. It’s traditionally the child of a famous person that wins the honor. Basically her job will be to escort the winners on and off the stage at the Golden Globe Awards next January. For more info and to see the nominees when they’re announced December 13th, visit the Golden Globes website.

For those of you bastards who follow these red carpet events, you’ll know that Christina Hendricks is a staple on the Hottest Low-Cut Dress list, but she had some thirst quenching competition on the Emmys red carpet! Say hello to Zooey Deschanel (“New Girl”), Kat Dennings (“2 Broke Girls”) & Morena Baccarin (“Homeland”). I’m all the ladies, but I feel like Kat Dennings wins this red carpet showdown.
Sarlet J. Mendel is the genius designer behind Kat’s dress, so major props to her. Other designers: Zooey’s wearing Reem Acra, Christina’s stuffed inside a Christian Siriano-designed dress, & lastly, the sultry Morena is wearing Basil Soda.
