Along with all the fashionable celebrities that we’ve already posted from the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards, here are just a few more of the ladies that worked the red carpet last night in NYC. As for the show, Hillary Clinton presented Oscar de la Renta with his Founder’s Award while Vera Wang received a Lifetime Achievement Award. Winners from the “Oscars of fashion” included Thom Browne for Menswear Designer of the Year, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler for Womenswear Designers of the Year and Philip Lim for Accessories Designer of the Year. amfAR’s 20th Annual Cinema Against AIDS at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc during the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival was the party of the night. Founded by Mathilde Krim and Elizabeth Taylor, celebrities came dressed in their best gowns to walk the red carpet which was chaired by Janet Jackson, who also was also honored at the event for involvement for the past 15 years. The celebrities came out as the New Yorkers for Children 10th Anniversary Spring Dinner Dance was held at Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC. Presented by Valentino, “New Year’s in April: A Fool’s Fete” benefitted youth in foster care. With décor designed exclusively by David Stark the night featured dinner, dancing, and a silent auction. The Cinema Society and Jaeger-LeCoultre held their screening of Open Road Films’ The Host at Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City. The Host is the film adaptation of the Twilight’s Stephanie Meyer novel. The film stars Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, and Jake Abel and is set for release on March 29th. The Marie Claire Prix de la Moda awards 2012 were held at the French Embassy in Madrid, Spain. So we don’t know exactly what type of awards are given out at this show but nonetheless there were multiple attendees so therefore we had a reason to post and make a poll because those are always fun.
