News correspondents Renee Bargh from Extra and Rocsi Diaz from ET both also walked the red carpet in addition to likely doing segments for their respective entertainment news shows. To remind you once again, the event took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with Tracy Morgan as host and performances by Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz, to name a few. Taylor Swift was the big winner, taking home awards in 8 of 11 nominations. Rihanna also scored big snagging 4 awards. The 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Silver Linings Playbook, Lincoln, Les Miserables, and Modern Family lead the way with 4 nominations each. Amongst the highlights, Jennifer Lawrence added to her trophy case taking home the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Silver Linings Playbook while Daniel Day-Lewis took home the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for Lincoln. On the Television side, winners included Kevin Costner, Julianne Moore, Bryan Cranston, Claire Danes, Tina Fey, and Alec Baldwin. The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts’ 2nd International Awards was held at Soho House in West Hollywood. For this award show, Silver Linings Playbook was the big winner, taking home the Best Film, Best Direction, and Best Actress awards. Daniel Day-Lewis for Lincoln and Django Unchained won the other two awards. These awards are the International counterpart to the awards given to Australian films.
