Last night’s big premiere was for Seth Rogen’s latest comedy “For A Good Time Call…,” also starring Justin Long, Ari Graynor, Mimi Rogers, Nia Vardalos, Mark Webber and James Wolk. The film will hit theaters on August 31. If the NYC premiere at Union Square was so damn hot, just think of what the L.A. premiere will look like! OWWW!!
Anyway, here’s more juice about the film:
Katie and Lauren are two incompatible roommates, their differences become more apparent went a disapproving Lauren learns of her roommate’s occupation as a phone sex operator. However, after Lauren loses her job she joins forces with Katie to create a highly lucrative phone sex business and eventually joins her as a second operator. In the process of their venture, both girls start to become firm friends. However, a betrayal will threaten this new-found harmony. Wiki
Cosmopolis is the upcoming film starring Robert Pattinson, directed by David Cronenberg, based on the novel by Don DeLillo. Given Team Edward’s recent headlines with Kristen Stewart’s infidelity, odds are this film will gain some interest as Robert makes his promotional rounds. The film was released in Canada back in June so it’s likely available for illegal download, not like we’d ever condone such an act but for those in the US, look for the film to hit theaters on August 17th. For more info, visit the Cosmopolis official website.

Billionaire Eric Packer (Pattinson) rides slowly across Manhattan in his limousine that he uses as his office while on his way to his preferred barber, even though there are traffic jams. They are caused by a visit of the president of the United States and by the funeral of Eric’s favourite musician, whose music he plays in one of his two private elevators. He has recently married. In the car and elsewhere, he has meetings with his wife, who does not want sex with him, to save energy that she needs for her work. Instead, he has sex with other women. In his car, while having a meeting, he has his doctor carry out his daily medical checkup; Eric worries about the doctor’s finding that he has an asymmetrical prostate. After devastating currency speculation, he kills his bodyguard and follows a path of further self-destruction, including visiting his potential murderer and deliberately shooting himself in the hand. First of all, what the hell was Irina Shayk thinking when covered herself in that low-cut white blanket?! For a woman with such impeccable taste on the red carpet, she really nuked her latest appearance at last night’s special screening of ‘Rock of Ages‘. Irina, please don’t tell me you’re going the Brooklyn Decker route in your promotional efforts? We can only hope that’s not the case.
The “Rock of Ages” promotional tour has officially kicked off and will probably heat up next week ahead of the film’s wide-release on June 15 (next Friday). For those of you who don’t know, the musical film, which is set in the glam metal era of the 1980s, stars country singer Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta, along with an ensemble cast including Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Paul Giamatti, Malin Åkerman, Bryan Cranston, Alec Baldwin and Mary J. Blige (source). Check the star-studded trailer below:
