The Hollywood Reporter had their party to celebrate the nominees of the 84th Annual Academy Awards. None of the ladies in this post are nominees but Jessica Chastain, nominated for Best Supporting Actress, was in attendance, though we didn’t bother choosing her as one of the four we wanted to post. Other attendees included Toni Braxton, Missi Pyle, and Penelope Ann Miller, again, more ladies who aren’t nominated for an Oscar but invited to a party to celebrate the nominees. Onto the poll…

Marchesa Show @ NY Fashion Week Standouts: Stacy Keibler & Taylor Momsen

These were snapped last night as celebrities arrived to the Marchesa fashion show as part of the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, which comes to an end today.

My personal favorites from the arrivals were Stacy Keibler & ultra-punk rocker/NY fashionista Taylor Momsen. And, has Petra Nemcova been hiding inside a cave for the past few months b/c she’s looking extremely pasty compared to her normal skin tone. Very odd, to say the least. And finally, it’s nice to see that Bar Refaeli didn’t ask her makeup artist to give her the I-dying-from-cancer-next-week look that she was rocking at the S.I. Swimsuit Issue launch party in NYC a couple nights back.

Beverly Hills: Cinema For Peace Event Benefitting J/P Haitian Relief

Also happening over the weekend throughout all the celebration of the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards was the Cinema For Peace Event Benefitting J/P Haitian Relief. Naturally since it was a photo op, Kim Kardashian was there. Honored at the event with a humanitarian award was Sean Penn, a founder of the J/P Haitian Relief Organization, for his continued work in Haiti two years after the devastating earthquake. He was also offered the job of ambassador at large by the Haitian foreign minister and accepted. In addition, here’s our chance to give a shameless plug to Petra’s Happy Hearts Fund.

Petra Nemcova & Jamie Belman @ ‘Focus For Change’ Benefit Dinner

Petra Nemcova recently hosted her Happy Hearts Gala fundraiser, in which she of course made Jamie Belman attend, and is at another benefit dinner, this time for the “Focus For Change” organization. While Petra enjoys taking time to support these organizations, Jamie’s facial expression shows how much he cares for the causes that are important to Petra. Our guess is that he’s financing their attendance to all these fundraisers.

Petra Nemcova hosted her annual Happy Hearts Fund Gala over the weekend in NYC with a Haiti-theme this year. Guests included Wycleaf Jean along with Sean Penn, who was recognized for his volunteer work in Haiti. A silent auction also raised money a work by artist Damien Hirst going for $100,000, and a trip to volunteer in Haiti with Sean Penn going for $75,000, twice. However, 2 tickets to the upcoming VS Fashion Show and a luncheon with a few angels only raised $25,000.

Says Petra: “Haiti’s open for business! There’s lots of opportunities for businesses to open up. I think in the next ten years Haiti is going to be much different,”

“I think there’s a lot to see in Haiti. Haiti is the place where I feel the most alive.” [Source]
