For those of you who missed the memo, Snoop Dogg is now known as Snoop Lion & DJ Snoopadelic. The new Snoops were created as part of his upcoming new album “Reincarnated,” which drops sometime in early 2013. Here’s more about the album & the new names:

On July 31, 2012, Snoop introduced a new stage name, Snoop Lion. He told reporters that he was rechristened Snoop Lion by a Rastafarian priest in Jamaica.[25] In response to Frank Ocean coming out, Snoop said hip hop was ready to accept a gay rapper.[26] Snoop recorded an original song for the 2012 fighting game Tekken Tag Tournament 2, titled “Knocc ‘Em Down”; and makes a special appearance as a non-playable character in “The Snoop Dogg Stage” arena.

In September of the same year, Snoop released a compilation of electronic music entitled Loose Joints under the moniker DJ Snoopadelic, stating the influence of George Clinton’s Funkadelic.[29] In an interview with The Fader magazine, Snoop stated “Snoop Lion, Snoop Dogg, DJ Snoopadelic—they only know one thing: make music that’s timeless and bangs.”

In December 2012 Snoop released his second single from Reincarnated, “Here Comes the King”. It was also announced that Snoop worked a deal with RCA Records to release Reincarnated in early 2013. Source

Fashionable Celebrities Who Hit Coachella Over The Weekend

Along with all the big dogs that we covered earlier, there were a few more notable mentions that made a cameo at Coachella over the weekend.

First off, for those of you who know a lot of random supermodels, can someone please help I.D. the model in the lead photo. If this chick isn’t a model, someone needs to sign this chick up.

Diana Ross’ son Evan Ross appears to be using his mommy’s cash flow to bang hot chicks, so major props to him. Let’s hope more rich celeb offspring learn to do the same. On the topic of hotties, JoJo looked Ta-Daayumm as usual in her extremely ripped-up short-shorts.

Among the photos, the only other one that stood out was Alicia Silverstone & her family’s somewhat awkward appearance. She’s already known for feeding her baby Bear Blu (that’s the poor kid’s name) by chewing shit in her own mouth & then transferring it into her kids mouth, so it’s always nice to see other fucked up things that she does inside her celebrity-bubble. Now she’s known as the crazy mom trained her kid to wear giant noise cancelling headphones at a music festival. Has Alicia Silverstone ever heard of a babysitter or maybe even, God forbid, grandma’s house?!

Celebs @ Bulls / Lakers: Derrick Rose’s Buzzer-Beating Floater Wins The Game!

Plenty of celebs were on hand for yesterday’s big Bulls & Lakers game at the Staples Center. Names included Lil’ Wayne & his hottie, Chicago-native Kanye West, the always-delicious Megan Fox & her lucky bastard hubby Brian Austin Green, Adam Levine & VS Angel Anne V, Snoop Dogg, Ashley Benson–just to name a few.

For those of you suffering from NBA withdrawals, I’m sure the onslaught of Christmas games didn’t disapppoint, especially the D-Rose’s buzzer beater that not only won Chicago the game, but also underscored why the Bulls coughed up $94 million for their main man. Let’s see it again…

The 2011 Billboard Music Awards were held last night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and aired live on ABC. For a more red carpet photos & a list of last night’s big winners, check our earlier post.

Snoop Dogg Workin’ It For Pepsi & NFL Super Bowl XLV!

For this week’s Super Bowl XLV, Pepsi MAX is rolling out a new video featuring Snoop Dogg as part of their NFL Audible program. Previous NFL Pepsi Max Audible spots have featured B.oB, Big Boi, Talib Kweli and Lupe Fiasco laying down original tracks for the playoff’s – Fans can view all the full videos from the playoffs here.
