Thy Womb (Sinapupunan in Tagalog) is the upcoming film starring Bembol Roco, Mercedes Cabral, and Lovi Poe. The film is in contention for the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, unlike the soon-to-be classic Spring Breakers. Look for Thy Womb to also show at the Toronto International Film Festival later this month.

The film is about a Badjao midwife coping with the irony of her own infertility amid the deprivations of her gypsy community in Tawi-Tawi. A saga of island life stuck between the devil of passion and the deep blue sea of tradition. [Wiki]

CORRECTION: Complete Cast of “Spring Breakers” Hit Venice Film Festival

Photo Credit: Splash News Online; Pictured: Ashley Benson, Selena Gomez, Rachel Korine

I guess co-stars Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens & Rachel Korine arrived into Venice very quietly as opposed to Selena Gomez who was photographed arriving into beautiful Venice yesterday afternoon. The group hooked-up for dinner at Harry’s Dolci on Giudecca Island in Venice. Vanessa & her boy-toy Austin Butler took advantage of the romantic setting by nibbling on each other throughout the night.

So yeah, if you’re a deep-pocked sugar daddy, we’d highly suggest jetting your ass to Venice for tonight’s “Spring Breakers” premiere! Ashley Benson is SINGLE at the moment & judging by the way she hooks up, her single status won’t last for long!

As we’ve stated on numerous occasions, we write this blog from a twisted perspective a horny middle schooler, so keep that in mind when you consider the following poll (think kinkiness, experience, flexibility, etc):

Selena Gomez Arrives In Venice For Tomorrow’s “Spring Breakers” Premiere

Selena Gomez @ Venice Film FestivalPhoto Credit: Pacific Coast News

We didn’t spot any of Selena’s co-stars from “Spring Breakers,” so we’re assuming those girls will attend the film’s premiere at the Toronto Film Festival set to go down later this month. I guess Selena was the only one who signed up for the painful premiere in Venice, Italy. God, don’t you hate it when somebody asks you to take an all-expenses paid trip to Venice? Let’s hope Selena can pull through like a champ. I wouldn’t be surprised if boyfriend Justin Bieber private-jets into town to keep his lil’ woman company…

The premiere is set to go down tomorrow, so expect to see Selena glam things up a bit tomorrow evening on the red carpet. More info about the film on the Venice Film Festival’s official website.

Keira Knightley & Jude Law @ “Anna Karenina” Red Carpet UK Premiere

These were snapped earlier today at the star-studded “Anna Karenina” premiere held at London’s Odeon Leicester Square. Never really heard of her before, but Swedish-flavored, 23-year-old hottie Alicia Vikander Kitty stole the red carpet, although Keira Knightley did better than usual in a beautiful cream-colored dress. I gotta admit, I’m really happy that K. Knightley chose to take her career in the non-cookie-cutter path when you consider the roles she takes on as an actress. It’s very tempting to sign on to some shitty $200 blockbuster, but it takes real passion to work through some of her recent roles, especially last year’s “A Dangerous Method,” which is a must see if you’re into Sigmund Freud & Carl Jung.

Here’s more about the film, which is based on Leo Tolstoy’s classic novel from 1877:

Anna Karenina is the tragedy of married aristocrat and socialite Anna Karenina and her affair with the affluent Count Vronsky. The story starts when she arrives in the midst of a family broken up by her brother’s unbridled womanizing—something that prefigures her own later situation, though with less tolerance for her by others.

A bachelor, Vronsky is willing to marry her if she would agree to leave her husband Karenin, a government official, but she is vulnerable to the pressures of Russian social norms, her own insecurities and Karenin’s indecision. Although Vronsky eventually takes Anna to Europe where they can be together, they have trouble making friends. Back in Russia, she is shunned, becoming further isolated and anxious, while Vronsky pursues his social life. Despite Vronsky’s reassurances she grows increasingly possessive and paranoid about his imagined infidelity, fears losing control.

A parallel story within the novel is of Levin, a country landowner who desires to marry Kitty, sister to Dolly and sister-in-law to Anna’s brother Oblonsky. Levin has to propose twice before Kitty accepts. The novel details Levin’s difficulties managing his estate, his eventual marriage, and personal issues, until the birth of Levin’s first child. The beautiful Olga Kurylenko blessed the 69th Venice Film Festival by doing promotional work for Terrence Malick’s latest drama “To The Wonder.” The film, which is in contention for the festival’s big prize, the Golden Lion, had its big red carpet premiere last night. Film buffs who’re big fans of Terrence Malick will probably want to add this to their must-see-list for the fall season. His big film last year was the ultra-freaky “The Tree of Life,” starring Brad Pitt & Sean Penn.

“To The Wonder” is the upcoming romantic drama starring Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Javier Bardem, and Olga Kurylenko. Following its world premiere in Venice, the cast will head to Toronto for the city’s International Film Festival, which kicks off next week. Here’s some juice about the film:

Judging by this snippet from the film review @ Hollywood Reporter, I have a feeling most of you bastards might dig this flick:

There is one type of viewer who will definitely go for the film in a big way — those with a literally unlimited appetite for watching Olga Kurylenko prance, waft, twirl and cavort through sun-flared handheld shots to exult in being carefree and happy. Read more >>
