“Big Little Lies” is HBO’s upcoming new comedy-drama miniseries based on the book of the same by Liane Moriarty. The series, which premieres later this month on February 19, will star a deep cast including Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Alexander Skarsgård and many others. Normally when you get so many big names working on a big project, it turns into shit, so it will be interesting to see how director Jean-Marc Vallée and writer David E. Kelley prove us wrong.
The premiere was held last night at the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. You can read Variety magazine’s recent review here.

Here’s Zoe Kravitz working her freakishly toned bikini body on the beach as she enjoys a holiday vacay in Miami with her new boyfriend Karl Glusman (see his Wiki). The 28-year-old “Mad Max: Fury Road” actress rocked a black bikini as she dabbled in a little PDA action as the pair took a dip in the ocean. These photos were snapped Friday.

I’m sure there were a number of other ladies in the mix, but the ones we saw were Serena Williams, Karlie Kloss, Zoe Kravitz accompanying their supposed leader Taylor Swift to yet another night out & about the city. This was apparently the second night out for the Taylor & her ladies. On Wednesday night they attended a private listening party for the Kings of Leon with Cara Delevingne, Martha Hunt, Lorde, Suki Waterhouse, and Lily Aldridge.

“Vincent-N-Roxxy” is a new crime-thriller film starring Emile Hirsch, Zoë Kravitz, Zoey Deutch. The film made its big premiere at the annual Tribeca Film Festival last night. The plot revolves around a “small town loner and a rebellious punk rocker [who] unexpectedly fall in love as they are forced on the run and soon discover violence follows them everywhere.” Apparently the big kicker with this film is its shocking ending. It was so shocking that actress Zoe Kravitz claims it was one of the main reasons why she wanted to star in the film. Here’s a snippet from an interview with Hollywood Reporter in which she discusses the film:
THR: What made you want to get involved with this movie?
Zoe: I love that [my role] was written for a brown girl but [the movie] wasn’t about an interracial couple. And then, of course, like the last eight pages, I was so confused and so shocked. It does have a really interesting twist to the story. It’s nice to be surprised. After so many years of storytelling it starts to get repetitive. So when something does really shock you, it’s refreshing to read.
THR: What was it like seeing those surprising events unfold onscreen instead of just reading them?
Zoe: I’ve seen a rough cut [of the film]. It’s very intense. It definitely looks like what it felt like to shoot it. It’s so dramatic and so out there that it could be viewed as too much but I feel like because we shot the end after we shot everything else, we really got the time to understand these characters and what they meant to each other and what they’ve gone through and how heartbreaking the end really is. I think by the time we shot that, we were able to do it in a grounded way because we were very clear on what was happening and what had happened. [Read more…]

Is anyone keeping up with this series? There have already been two films in the series, which are based on the Divergent novels by the author Veronica Roth and judging by the box-office figures, I’m not surprised surprised producers are moving through with the planned-two additional films “Allegiant” and “Ascendant” (2017). The first two films raked in nearly $600M at the box-office with a combined budget of $200M. You can read more about series, including a plot summary on the latest film on Wikipedia.
Anyone why Jaden didn’t bring his hot girlfriend to the premiere?! For his sake, I hope they didn’t break up already!

Just like they do every year, A-listers got dolled up and appeared on the red carpet at the 21st Annual Critics’ Choice Awards held at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. We’ve chosen just a few of our favorites for you guys to put under the microscope.
Famous couples that caught our eye were Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, who got married back in August. They haven’t divorced yet, so it looks like they might hit the six month mark! Good for them! And, newly engaged Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham were also there showing off the $350K engagement bling! We’re still looking for a high-res close-up of the rock.
With respect to the show, it was broadcast on A&E, and hosted by “Silicon Valley” actor T. J. Miller. “Spotlight” won Best Film while “Mad Max: Fury Road” took home the most awards (9) after receiving the most nominations (13). Individual award winners included Leo DiCaprio, Brie Larson, Sylvester Stallone, Alicia Vikander, Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Christian Bale and Amy Schumer. Check out the full list of winners and nominees. Visit Critics’ Choice for complete coverage.

Miranda Kerr was one of the sexiest women in attendance—even with that ugly belt—but there were plenty of other ladies who packed Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills last night at the 22nd Annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards. We’ve rounded up a batch of a few of our favorites, so we hope you guys enjoy the collection.

Daughter of singer Lenny Kravitz & “X-Men” actress Zoe Kravitz was seen rocking a black bikini coupled with very elaborate silver body jewelry as she catwalked around the beach in Miami. She’s currently taking a break from filming an upcoming project.
Zoe’s had two big releases this year—first with ‘The Divergent Series: Insurgent’ and second with ‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ with both films bringing in tons of cash at the box-office. She’s already filming the second film in the ‘Divergent’ series, which hits theaters next March 18, 2016. Damn, it appears Zoe has created a real niche for herself in Hollywood! I wonder how much credit goes to her dad?
Zoe Kravitz shows off her bikini body while spending the day on the beach in Miami with friends. Zoe is enjoying a brief vacation before her new film “Insurgent” is released in two weeks. In the film, starting Shailene Woodley and Kate Winsley, Zoe reprises her role as Christina. “Insurgent” opens in theaters on March 20.
I gotta hand it to Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet for giving Zoe Kravitz somewhat of a normal (we use that word very liberally) upbringing to the point where she’s still motivated to pursue a productive career, albeit in entertainment. Sadly, that’s not the case with most celeb children.
Here’s a little background on Zoe’s younger days—although, let’s not forget that she’s only 25!
Kravitz’s parents married in 1987 and divorced six years later, in 1993, when she was five. She lived with her mother until age eleven, and then lived with her father, while spending summers with her mother. Kravitz attended Miami Country Day School in Miami, Florida, and then Rudolf Steiner School in Manhattan, New York, where she graduated in 2007. Kravitz began studying that year at the acting conservatory at the State University of New York at Purchase. She left college after a year and moved to Brooklyn to work in films. [Source]
