Not the best display of red carpet fashion, but maybe we’ve been spoiled by Doutzen Kroes from over the weekend?

Aaah, to be Alex Baldwin’s sugar baby wife Hilaria Thomas! She seriously went from Yoga instructor to one day hitting the damn lottery—all thanks to tight yoga pants & a horny Alec Baldwin! The couple officially married June 2012 & before tying the knot, Alec treated Hilaria to her very first Cannes Film Festival—maybe even her first trip to France, for all we know. HA. During their latest trip to the land of luxury, Hilaria is a few months pregnant and set to give birth sometime later this summer / fall. Sadly, we have a feeling it’s all downhill after that…

As for the other ladies in attendance: Definitely not a big fan of Milla Jovovich’s dress. As for Marion Cotillard, this woman will look cute & beautiful wearing pretty much anything.

The Los Angeles Premiere of Star Trek Into Darkness was held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. As you already have been reminded again and again, the film is the sequel to J.J. Abrams’ 2009 Star Trek and will once again also star Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Alice Eve, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, John Cho, and Bruce Greenwood. The Dark Knight Rises, Silver Linings Playbook, Ted, and Django Unchained each led the way with seven nominations a piece. The Avengers took home Best Movie in addition to Best Villian and Best Fight but it was Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper who took home Best Actress and Best Actor along with Best Kiss. You Guys See The “Star Trek Into Darkness” Stills Yet?

The J. J. Abrams-directed “Star Trek Into Darkness” hits theaters on May 17, so the buzz machine is just getting oiled up! I hope you guys enjoy the all the stills.

A lot has happened on Planet geek since J. J. Abrams’s first “Star Trek” film back in 2009, which was the eleventh film based on the “Star Trek” franchise. The biggest news was probably Zachary Quinto, who portrays Spock in the film, came out of the closet in 2011. I feel like it fits the whole Spock package b/c even though Spock comes off as an unemotional asexual, I feel like J. J. Abrams could explore homosexuality via Spock in his “alternate reality” timeline that he has in place for his specific series, although we don’t know how that will ultimately go over with the film’s hardcore fan base of geeks.

The other big news to drop was of course J. J. Abrams taking on the upcoming “Star Wars: Episode VII” after Disney coughed up billions to buy the franchise from George Lucas. It will be the first film in the “Star Wars” sequel trilogy, so it’ll be interesting to see how this dude balances his time between all these mega-projects. God damn, I think it’s safe to say that J. J. will be the next Spielberg.
