The First Step - Leo Tolstoy

Ok, I�ve been meaning to post this bad boy for a while, so why not while we�re on the topic of obesity and the Atkin�s diet. This will be one of my few posts where it feels like the piece was written a long time ago, but the jist of the writing makes a lot of sense if applied to our lives. If I can succeed in applying 10% of what he writes about, I would be content. True discipline in areas of dieting, thought, exercise, etc is so hard to achieve that I�m beginning to think that you have to be born with it. I swear, it�s damn hard stuff!

By the way, this is part of a ten section piece (not as long as it sounds�just divided into sections) that I intend to slowly post up—I can only type so much & so fast. Most of you will find it corny, but it is aimed at people looking to plant the seed of change within themselves that will hopefully bear fruit later in life.
