hmmm......what the heck????...... So I'm checking out Paulina Rubio when I came across this site. Suddenly, I'm reading all these post about schools, racism, and what have you. I don't get it??? I thought the subject was Paulina Rubio and her dress, or lack of it.

It's strange to see a philosophical debate (I mean rant) about the conditions of public schools while looking at barely dressed photo of Paulina. Let's get back to some serious discussion about the dress!!!! Personally, I think the inclussion of the thong underwear really ruined this outfit. If she's going to wear that dress without a bra, then she should also go without an underwear.... ;-)

Anonymous2... I truly feel sorry for you and all of the people who agree with your statements. Your ignorance is truly indicative of your personal upbringing and experience- which by all observations is quite limited and small-minded.

Many of the problems you mention are socio-economic based problems that have taken several years to come to fruition. If you understood both the history of the problem and the role of the media in the social programming you seem to be a victim of, you might realize that what you see is a perpetuation of an image seeking to control small-minded individuals such as yourself, into a constant state of fear.

Fear of the unknown, fear of domination, fear of violence, fear of "the beast" (aka The Black Man), fear of the uncontrolled power of a people... and (most of all) fear of what their empowerment means to you. How will it affect your life, and will you suffer or benefit from it? But because you have been conditioned and taught to fear, you imagine that pain to be unbearable.

But enough pontificating for now. The reality is that you blame the problems of the inner-city on race, but in fact it is an issue of economics. If you were better educated and more exposed to the global human condition, you would realize this yourself. You would realize that these people you so willingly disparage (students and parents alike) sense this about you and will NEVER open up to the bigot you face in your mirror each morning.

Your perception of these people handicap your effectiveness and ability to teach. Furthermore, teachers like yourself are more apart of the problem than the students they are responsible for. You had a choice, and whether or not you chose to exercise other options was your decision. These children never had a choice about the lives they have been provided, the skin they are in or the school they must attend. No one begged you to become a teacher.

For you to call these people "socially inept pieces of trash" speaks volumes about what type of person you truly are.

If she did, her dad and I would just accept it and love our grandchildren and "thug" of a son-in-law. I doubt she would ever marry a black man that was a gangster gang banger thug. I agree with vmahater. There is a huge difference between a black person and a nigger. There is a vast difference between a predominantly black school and a predominantly white school. I've attended both and I'd choose the white one. It's safer and cleaner because they have more respect, self-control, and you don't get shot for wearing the wrong color.

I've had many a summer vacation ruined by the "nigger fest" or "Black Pandemonium" as I like to call it. Has anyone seen the footage of the nigger fest in New Orleans? Deadlier than Katrina herself. I know it hurts to hear other races criticize your own, but it's your own people who publicly judge themselves, people are merely observing.

BTW, I have seen more than my fair share of white trash kids too. Of course when you meet the parent(s) at conference time, if they even bother to show up. A light bulb will go off and you think, no wonder the kids are turning out they way they are, black or white. When the parent(s) do not even care to show up, act COMPLETELY indifferent, or get so darned defensive and get, what we like to call in the teaching profession, "the not my child syndrome," then you understand. Makes for a real *fun* day.

You are completely right vmhater. Unfortunately, there are more than a few "bad seeds" at my school. It is not very far from the projects, so that is a major source of the problem. Along with all the others I stated. However, I would not let my children attend the type of school you describe with the the "trailer trash" kids either just because that would be a predominantly white school. I have been teaching over 11 years and sometimes you just get a little burned out, but I do love it. I am looking forward to after Labor Day when the kids come back.

Ok...the teacher who refused to say the word NGR but will typecast all black people is just plain stupid. Although the public school you teach for is predominantly black I find it hard to believe that all of them are harmful. Let's clarify some things:

Black people: Those of dark complexion identified as "black" by American society. Not to be confused with Africans.

NGR: Black people gone terribly wrong

White people: Those of dark complexion identified as "white" by American society. Not to be confused with Hispanic "whites", European "whites", etc.

White Trash: White people gone terribly wrong

*For those of you who know more epithets for Asians, Hispanics, etc. feel free to add them here, but I do not know all of them.

In any event, getting back to my point: The way you describe your public school it sounds like you have a handful of NGRs who are totally ruining the school's reputation for the black kids who HAVE to attend the school because they don't have the luxury of attending a Private school. What you mean to say is that your school has some bad seeds, not "black people". There are plenty of public schools in the midwest or the south full of white trash kids ruining the public school system for well meaning white kids.

But just like I can't tell you that you are improperly projecting your image of NGRS onto all black people, no one can tell me that it is wrong to use the word "white trash" or NGRS is wrong. These words only have power to offend because we as a society give prescribe them the power. Hell, look at me. It has some power over me right now since I won't even spell the word out in its entirety in case I offend someone. Let's face it. To me saying that word is the same as saying: "Black people who have gone wrong and is ruining the image for every decent black person." Anonymous, I work as a teacher in a public shcool system. However, guess what type of school MY children attend: PRIVATE. They have never set foot in a public shchol, nor will they ever. I would not put my children in an innercity public school, you could not pay me enough. I see what goes on there with black kids, (I wont sayNi***r, because it is wrong just like Wh**E T**SH, etc.) They are just overtly sexual, loud, obnoxious, thieves, gangbangers, drug addicted welfare recipients and aggressive as a rule. They are socially inept pieces of trash. I've seen black girls only 14 or 15 years old give birth to their 2nd child, by DIFFERENT fathers. You think I want my children around this type of trash, don't think so! Even in the public shcools in the suburbs where I live, they still bus them in from the projects. And before you say I am narrow minded or whatever and my children are not being exposed to diversity, which honestly, my husband and I could care less about. Ponder on this - we had a black mom win the lottery at the school I teach in, she won over $200,000 before taxes. I taught her son 6th grade, the year she won the money. The first thing she did was move out of her project ridden neighboorhood, bought a nice little condo in a nice part of town for around $90,000, bought a new/used Saturn for around $8,000 or so. With the money that was left, instead of just blowing it, she put her son into the same private school where my children attend. This was 3 years ago and he is still there in 9th grade with my children. (He is a really nice boy.) She still has some money put aside for his college education. She still works in a rest home as a nursing assistant. But she has no mortgage or car payment, so she lives comfortably on her income. Anyhow, my point being, once she won her little lottery windfall, she was GONE!!! Can you blame her. There was no way she was going to leave her own black child in those crappy public schools the black kids run. Unlike "John," most of them do not even have a mother or father figure around, dad is most likely in prison, mom is on crack, and they live with some extended family member who sells crack or is a prostitute. No lie. The only reason I work in an innercity ps is because it pays better than private school, and it makes it easier to pay my children's private school tuition and still be able to afford all the other things we, as a family enjoy doing too. MY children will never be in a public school, except for one occasion, my daughter had a dental appointment, so I only worked a half day, and she just came to work with me, I did not let her out of my sight, so we would not be late. She really had an "eye opener" that day, and we were only there for a few hours. The first thing she said to me was to thank me & "daddy" for putting her and her little brothers in private school(s). I apologize for my little rant, but it is the complete truth.

The truth hurts. By the way, when those white trash people come down to Miami Beach I avoid them as well. There are black people and then there are NGRS.
