Come to think of it, I have had Squid. It is in this Chinese dish I order sometimes from my new favorite Chinese place called "Wonderful Garden". It is very very chewy, but good. I don't know what it would taste like all on it's own as all of the seafood kinda tastes the same when it's cooked in that white sauce and mixed together. I forgot about that, thanks Katie for reminding me.

I have never had any of those things either. This was the most "daring" thing I've ever ingested. I have eaten sushi before and I liked it very much. Oysters from the can on Saltine Crackers are good too. Before the balls, those are the most daring things I'd ever eaten. I have been eating fried chicken hearts and gizzards since I was young so I don't think those count. My boyfriend has eaten Alligator and Turtle though and I know this is common place but he says they taste like chicken.

It is pretty funny, I was laughing so hard. No, I have never tried them. I'm kind of a sissy when it comes to stuff like that. I have never had frog leggs or escargot, I don't care for caviar at all. I'm kinda picky I guess. But I loved your story.

I fought with myself for days because I knew that was what we were going up there to eat. I wasn't sure I could do it but when I saw them (they aren't round like I thought they would be) I thought, what the hell. They really aren't that bad. They are very rich though. Have you ever tried them?

Yeah, I know I should keep an open mind but girlfriend! That sounds so gross. You went to the "Nightcrawler" in "Worms" for deep fat fried steer's balls...do ya see the humor here? :)

Yes, I really ate them. About 20 minutes from where I live there is a town called Worms (population 35) and they have the Nightcrawler Bar that is actually very famous. Anyway, every Wednesday is "Beef-fry night" and the girls, Elrod and I all went down and had a great time. It is a family atmosphere, no loud music, sluts, drunks. It was a ton of fun, all the people in there are really welcoming and kind and the girls had a blast. I really wouldn't mind living in Worms. I could park my car on the main strip there for a month with my keys in the ignition and it wouldn't get stolen. In the city I live in now, I can't even put my pretties in the front yard because everytime I do someone steals some of them. I hate it! Someone stole my garden hose the other day even? It sucks!

Back to the mountain oysters/beef frys...they were good. They are breaded and deep fat fried. Tastes like Chicken Hearts. Has anyone else ever ate them?

I think this stuff looks great. And now I am hungry. Or at least I WAS hungry, until SOMEBODY compared it to a colon pic!

Last night I ate Mountain Oysters. I had to tell my kids it was chicken gizzards so they would try them. When they were done I told them the truth and now they will be able to eat them from now on with no quams. It's the whole getting past knowwing what your eating with that one!
