I live in germany and I can say that its all really mixed but anyway most of the people here has brown or dark blonde hair and blue or hazel eyes, often green and brown too. Some people could see dark blonde as brown too, but its not. So you see 90% of the germans, doesnt matter where they live have dark hair. And 70% of all paint their hair blonde. In roman times germans painted their hair too and people thought that all germans are blonde but most of then have never been. They had gold blond, dark blond or brown hair. And most of the scandinavians have darker blond too. Far blonde is in 98% not natural in the world.

I'm also almost all German, and I got the thick dark hair and olive skin tones. My family came from around the Tauber river area, which is, I think North East Germany.

So not true! Most Bavarians are decendants of Vikings. My father's side of the family are Northern German with very fair skin, eyes, and hair.

well my ancestors actually originate from Russia and then immigrated to Germany at some point. that is basically all I know. I dont speak German really, i know a few words, but to spell them I would be lost! i always appreciate new information though! thanks!

Well, I'm of eastern European descent and I have one brown and one green eye, and red hair.

You must be right, i am of Czech descent and have blond hair blue eyes. Czech Republic is south/south east of Germany.

Daenerys, all of my family is from Southern Germany near the Black Forest (in Muggensturm), and they all have very fair skin, light hair (the darkest being strawberry blonde), and either blue or hazel eyes. I think there are differentiations between the North and the South due to ancestry, immigration, and descension. I have found that most Northern Germans have the traits you spoke of: olive skin, darker hair, and the hair is also thicker in most Northern German residents. The last names that are dominant in my family are Reifel, Kuehm, Sauer, and Dittmar. In fact, the Sauers founded the area of Houston that I live in when the immigrated to America through the New Orleans port. But yes, the darker hair and skin are more dominant in Germany now, but if you go further South you see more pale skin, and light eyes and hair.
and most of us Germans also have darker skin tone, olive type. Not saying that their isnt blond/blue eyed Germans, but majority are not.
I am 100% German. My last name says it all Schnell. Most of us Germans are brunetts, and yes most of us look sort of like the girls up there. Im just really scared of turning fat, hairy and ugly when Im 40! Mind you my Aunts are still pretty, but they have about an extra 20 pounds on their frame.
Anna is very cute, and Olivia is absolutely gorgeous. Dark hair and blue eyes, that is a good combo, and the full lips and wavy locks don't hurt either. Good job! :)
The German/Russian curse might be up there with the German/Cherokee Indian curse which befell me.......... although, thankfully, the German looks far outweigh the Cherokee looks for me. You can see some Cherokee in my cheekbones and nose, that's about it. Other than that, it's all German, light skin, blonde hair, blue eyes, you name it.
