I am a pakistani canadian and using the term paki is not ok. (my brother just got into a fight at school over this word. it's the way it's said) Some pakistanis might call themselves pakis but those pakistanis are douches. black people call each other niggers but everyone else knows NOONE ELSE CAN.

bottom line the word paki has a negative connotation so it would have been better to avoid it. stan is just 4 more letters and whole lot less grief.

It is not offensive in the US/Canada..in fact I call myself a Paki sometimes! But my cousins in Britain find it offensive, because apparently, over there it is more of a slur. i guess it's hard to see how a derivative "paki" from "paki-stani" can sound derogative. it's part of the word. my ex-bf was pakistani, and he called his peoples paki. there's "afro" for african american. but nuf said, less wasted time spent discussing this trivial thing, more time to enjoy life.

I think Angelina Jolie is absolutely gorgeous. She has a different look and doesn't have to try like 90% of Hollywood. She stands out because she can. She also has a heart to match. For some reason I don't find her ugly, and I don't find her ugly in The Good Girl. Of course she isn't pretty but at least she looks sincere and age-appropriate.
