Many North-Africans are multiracial , so of course some will have light skin or "nice" hair. To be honest, straight hair and light skin is not in the Negroid gene-pool (Negroid is the correct term). But there are really no fully-Negroid people left, because people have been breeding with other races, so that is why we have light skin people with harsh hair and dark skin people with straight hair.

My old college room mate was from Eritrea (small country in East Africa, used to be a part of Ethiopia) and while she was a carmel complexion, she had naturally long wavy hair, as did the majority of her family. Wavy or straight hair is not uncommon in east or north africa. Most people think all africans look like sub saharan west africans, but africa is actually quite diverse when it comes to skin complexion and hair texture.

Also, Blacks in the United States, Caribbean and South America are among the most racially mixed people in the world. We don't all look the same, have the same hair or even skin tones sometimes even in the exact same family as a result. My mom, dad, sis and I have a variety of shades amongst us and different hair textures (hell I have 2 different on my own head!) I'm not trying to fly the flag of PC, but I hate ignorance.

Its humorous and naive at best, patronizing at worst, afterall, slave masters had plenty of biracial children (and that's a heck of alot closer than friendship) and had no problem keeping them enslaved or selling them. I'm not going to defend Megan's fake/real hair cause I have no idea whether it's real or not but I do have to say that not all black people have nappy roots. I also do not think that all black people have naturally straight hair either (I'm referring to those who are not mixed). There are those with fine hair, those with curly and those with nappy. Aklin, MIXED blacks can have good hair, because whatever the other part of the mix they are is the dominant gene that created their "good hair".
