Lisa Ling (Chinese: å‡Œå¿—æ…§; pinyin: LÃng ZhÃ¬hÃ¹i) (born August 30, 1973 in Sacramento, California) is an American journalist, best known for her role as a co-host of ABC’s The View, host of National Geographic Channel’s Explorer, reporter on Channel One News, and special correspondent for the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Ling, a Chinese American, started in television at 16, when she was chosen as one of the four hosts of Scratch, a nationally-syndicated teen magazine show based in Sacramento. At 18, she joined Channel One News as one of their youngest reporters and anchors. Among her roles was war correspondent, including assignments in Iraq and Afghanistan. She has won numerous awards for her reporting. She attended the University of Southern California. During her time there, she had to miss her Russian Studies class to cover the 1992 Russian Referendum; her teacher understood. [Wiki]

A model of Frenchwoman elegance, cultivated lust object for art house filmgoers everywhere, and one of the best-respected actresses in the French film industry, Catherine Deneuve made her reputation playing a series of beautiful “ice maidens” for directors such as Luis BuÃ±uel and Roman Polanski. The daughter of French stage and film actor Maurice DorlÃ©ac, Deneuve was born in Paris on October 22, 1943. She made her screen debut at the age of 13, with a role in the 1956 film Les CollÃ©giennes, and went on to make a string of films with directors such as Roger Vadim (with whom she had a child) before getting her breakthrough role in Jaques Demy’s charming musical, Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (The Umbrellas of Cherbourg) (1964).
