For instance, instead of the iconic, climactic crane kick, we get one guy pummeling another’s head into the pavement. Instead of the hero and damsel having a charming first date at Golf N’ Stuff, we get them rolling around together in his bedroom. Instead of the cheesy awesomeness of “You’re the Best,” set over the climactic montage, we get ear-gnawing emo tunes. Source
