Emmanuelle Chriqui @ “You Don’t Mess With The Zohan” Premiere

Emmanuelle Chriqui plays the role of Dalia, a sexy Palestinian who falls in love w/ Zohan, but doesn’t know about his slim-shady past in the Sayeret (some Israeli commando unit).

The flick’s set to drop in theaters on June 6th, but I’m still contemplating whether it’s worth the 25 bucks (includes two movie ticket & a medium popcorn). Anyway, here’s the plot:

Sandler stars as Zohan Dvir, an Israeli commando who fakes his own death in order to pursue his dream: becoming a hairstylist in New York. He romances his clients by giving them “special services” in the back room. However, he is eventually recognized, and risks losing his newfound life and career. [Wiki]

IN the profit and loss columns of contemporary celebrity, what goes where is a question we could probably all make a fair stab at answering.

Take the case of Scarlett Johansson.

Profit? Easy. The list would include the following: the $US7 million ($7.3 million) Los Angeles home she purchased last year with her huge film earnings; her status as Hollywood royalty and funky indie-film darling; the fact directors such as Woody Allen and Sofia Coppola beat a path to her agent; and her 2006 coronation by a US magazine as “the sexiest woman alive”.

And loss? Easy again, albeit tainted for many by a get-over-it, call-those-problems sneer. Into that column would go the privacy the 23-year-old has sacrificed and that she guards fiercely. Tori Spelling joins cast of CW’s “90210″ spinoff

Tori Spelling is the latest alum to return to the CW’s “90210″ spinoff this fall and reprise her character, Donna Martin, People magazine reports.

What will Donna be doing in the exclusive zip code?

“Donna loved designing and wanted a career in fashion. It’ll be fun to explore that story line,” Spelling told People. “And, I’m sure fans will be dying to know if she’s still married to David!”

The original show, created by her late father, Aaron Spelling, ran from 1990-2000. In the show’s finale, Donna Martin married her high school sweetheart, David Silver, played by Brian Austin Green. [Newsday]

Prior to starring in film, she was a dancer, working for various famous performers such as Justin Timberlake, ‘N Sync, Sean Combs, Toni Braxton, Celine Dion, Pink, Missy Elliott, Ricky Martin, Billy Crawford, and Janet Jackson in both live performances and music videos.

Dewan starred as the title character in the 2005 horror film Tamara, playing an unpopular high school student who is picked on by classmates, dies, is buried by her classmates, then comes back to seek revenge. Other films that Dewan has appeared in include Waterborne (2005), Take the Lead, Step Up, and The Grudge 2 (all released in 2006).
