Champion Gymnast and Decathlete to Be Featured on Special-Edition Wheaties Packages

“Every young athlete aspires to one day see their face on the cover of the Wheaties box,” Liukin said. “It’s been a huge inspiration to see great gymnastics champions on the box, like Mary Lou and Carly, plus the ‘Magnificent Seven’ from 1996. It’s a privilege and an honor for me to be on the box, and I’m very excited to be part of the Wheaties tradition.”

Liukin credits hard work and determination for her success. “I tell young athletes all the time that if you want to become a champion, you need to stay focused, train hard, and pay attention to what you eat,” she says. Proper nutrition is a critical part of peak performance, and Liukin says that’s why Wheaties was a part of her training regimen. Source

Vanessa Minnillo has her hopes pinned on ‘Disaster Movie’

Quizzed on her career plans, Minnillo, 27, said, “I am ready for another chapter. Now whether or not this chapter is one quick page or it is a couple of paragraphs long will depend on how well the move does and how well I can grasp acting,”

“I like to think of myself as being more well rounded than just a host,” she added.

One thing that Minnillo says she definitely cannot do is sing. She would rather leave that to her boyfriend Nick Lachey.

“If you hear me sing, trust me you will tell me to stick to my day job,” she told Seacrest. Source

Grimes is such a good liar

Shenae Grimes says she never has been to an acting class in her life. So how is it that she has become such an accomplished actress at such a young age?

She credits her ability to, uh, fudge the truth.

“Acting came up randomly and things started happening,” said the 18-year-old Canadian, who is one of the stars of the new 90210, which debuts Tuesday on Global and CW.

“I’ve never been to an acting class, but I’ve been through enough in my life that there are enough emotions and feelings and situations to pull from, and I have the ability to do that. And that’s all acting is, being a really good liar.”

That’s a funny line, but in the grand scheme, Grimes wasn’t kidding. Source

US move not on cards for Jennifer Hawkins

Hawkins’s agent Sean Anderson was left to hose out the fire, calling the likes of Covergirl and Myer to extinguish the unfounded suggestions of his star client’s alleged relocation to New York.

Branding the story - in which the magazine claimed Hawkins was already “packing her bags” - nothing more than “a beat-up”, Anderson said no such move was feasible in the next year.

Townsend, Theron ‘have no plans to marry’

Stuart Townsend has admitted that he and actress girlfriend Charlize Theron have no plans to get married.

Speaking to E! Online at the premiere of his film Battle In Seattle, Townsend distanced himself from comments made by Theron, who previously stated that she would get married when gay marriage was legalised. California has since made same sex unions legal.

Townsend said: “I think she said ‘nationwide’. I don’t think she mentioned ‘state’. I want everyone to know that was her thing.

“I do believe that if you love someone you should be able to get married, but it’s got nothing to do with my life or her life. I love her. What more do you want? We are happy. Leave us alone!” Source

Musical actors surprise fans in LA

It doesn’t take much to whip fans of High School Musical into a frenzy, but a surprise appearance by Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale at a special pep rally in Hollywood left kids, teens and some parents in hysterics.

Some 1,000 fans won a special opportunity to be part of the celebrations at Disney’s El Capitan cinema on Saturday.

Actress Ashley Tisdale said the franchise owes everything to its supporters: “Our movie was really for the Disney Channel. We never expected it to be so huge - it’s because of the fans that it is such a phenomenon, so it’s always great to see them face to face.” Source
