because in international b-ball we were the goat (greatest of all time) and then the dominance ended and the world caught up. complete opposite in soccer, we're always playing catch up and the closer we get the more praise we get.

OH let me add this.... why is is the US world cup team loses, doesnt get one of the top 3 spots... and they are HEROES.... yet, the dream team like won a MEDAL, be it NOT gold, but a MEDAL and they are treated like goats?

its amazing. only in america do you play on a team that finished what? 9th-16th? in the world in a tournenent and are treated like a fucking god like hero.

that kind of press and praise for such mediocrity really helps me understand whats happening to america... and its NOT good...
