Wayne Rooney Stars In England’s 3-1 Swiss Roll!

Good boy Wayne! Rooney was playing away from home again today, but this time for the right reasons. His goal and good performance saw England beat the Swiss 3-1!

WAYNE ROONEY hit back at a lot of his critics tonight by doing his talking on the pitch, and producing a decent performance which saw England beat Switzerland 3-1 in Basle.

In what was thought to be their toughtest test of the Euro 2012 Qualifying Group, Fabio Capello’s men responded brilliantly by controlling the game throughout against a lacklustre Swiss side, and the man that made the headlines for the wrong reasons, notched himself a goal as well as having a good all-round game.

Switzerland had set a defencive record before taking part in the World Cup in South Africa 3 months ago, but there was no sign of that strong defencive unit today, which also managed to beat Spain in June. In only the 10th minute, it was breached. THEO WALCOTT was involved again with his terrific start to the season as he had a quick give-and-go with Glen Johnson who pulled it back into the box. As the returning Walcott looked set to score he was tackled maliciously from behind leaving him in hospital after an ankle-injury. ROONEY tapped in what Theo couldn’t pick up and England were cruising. Walcott wasn’t, hopefully it’s not too serious. It didn’t look as if it dampened England’s bullish mood, however.

If the Swiss defence was poor, the front-line was offering nothing at all. England continued to dominate as Defoe had a few chances first and it got even better in the second half. After a small amount of Swiss pressure, they were reduced to 10 men as Stephan Lichsteiner was shown a red card for a stupid tackle on the impressive James Milner. England scored just minutes after that - Rooney again and Gerrard combined to set up ADAM JOHNSON who rounded the goalie to tap in his second in two games! There was a brief scare but not much to worry about when Switzerland pulled one back as 18 y’o XHERDAN SHAQIRI smashed in the goal of the game into the roof of the net past a shaky-looking Joe Hart. That was sorted just before the final whistle as Cashley played through DARREN BENT for a cool left-footed finish.

England play Montenegro next at Wembley in October, but for now they have a maximum of 6 pts from 2 games, after they eased home following two tricky fixtures. Milner, Defoe, Adam Johnson, Jagielka, Theo and heck even Cashley, take a bow! Lets hope England maintain this hot form in Poland in 2 years time!

So, Stevie Gerrard was right. WAZZA looked as if he took his frustration out on the pitch. Still doesn’t stop him from being a douche however, right ladies!?
With Sir Alex Ferguson reconsidering his proposal over a new deal and potential captaincy for this brothel-boy, he has apparently told wife Coleen that he DOESN’T CARE if she proceeds with a divorce. After telling his wife to “move on and get over it” yesterday, Rooney’s close-pals have now claimed that:

“Wayne is not prepared to take any shit off the wife and her family, not least because they’re all living a very nice life off the back of his talent. If she can’t handle it and it’s over, so be it. Seems he thinks he can pretty much do what the hell he likes because they’d all be nothing without him.”

Seriously, Wazza? Have you got no balls at all!? Typical Scouse!

.....now that's not nice, is it??? :)

I was hoping for an all-round Euro Champs write-up so I could talk about Robert Van Plastic being out for ANOTHER 6 weeks.....but hey-ho, can't win 'em all ;).

Enjoy your day.

Hiting back at critics with a "decent performance". Sounds kind of mediocre to me.

Pity about what?

The fact that England finally won with a descent score, or pity because Rooney finally started playing like he should?

PS. Whom he fucks is his business as far as I'm concerned, all I want to see is proper work on the soccer field.

Johnsons looking more and more promising with each game but come on we should walk this group Montenegro have one good player in Vucinic, Bulgaria's best player has retired internationally, the Swiss are solid but not spectacular and Wales are in free-fall. The real test for Fabio and our boys will come in 2012 against Holland, Germany, Italy, Russia and Spain

Jeez man!!! Theo Walcott could get tackled by a blade of grass and still end up in hospital that night crying like a baby!!!!!! LOL!!

What a great goal by Adam Johnson......of course laid on by a beautiful pass by Mr. Stevie G.! You know what you get when you play him in the centre of midfield now, Don Fabio ;).......
