The report is that Russell Brand posted this photo of wife Katy Perry (without make-up) on his Twitter account. However, the photo is no longer there so we’re guessing that Katy wasn’t pleased about it.

    Well, usually when we see her with make-up it’s on stage and she’s dancing around with her tits popping out. So can kinda get distracted.

    She’s not exactly ugly I don’t think. Just extremely plain, like someone was about to use her face as a template to mold into a chick’s face, but they just forgot to form any discernibly female features. That doesn’t make sense but I said it.

    Possibly. I’m being forgiving because it’s a terrible picture but you are right, when make up is applied properly it can totally transform the face. Most women are just happy to have clear skin when make up free!

    i agree that it’s a bad picture in the first place. she makes a grimace, which gives her a double chin and furrows her brow, and she pulls in her lips.
    doesn’t mean that she looks good without make-up, but there are only a few chosen people who do that. plus there’s still some mascara/eyeliner/kohl on her eyes.

    I’m sure that there are naturally pretty women who look decent first thing in the morning, but all the ones I’ve seen were looking scary 😀 And I consider my female friends good looking. They are 8/10 with makeup and 4/10 when they wake up……And me, when I wake up I look like a washed out 16 y.old with a bad skin and a frizzy afro 🙁

    It depends. There are people who want to protect proper English (both written and spoken) but there are also an equal amount of people who speak in ‘text’ language. It’s very irritating and sad. I’m ok with grammar but my spoken English is very good because I’ve been brought up to be concious of proper phrasing. It’s mostly the education system that is to blame. People can only go on what they learn.

    I think using “your” and “you’re” in the wrong context is by far the most annoying grammatical mistake out there but my second most annoying is the whole “their” “there” and “they’re” mistakes.

    We’ve seen plenty of celebs without makeup. Hilary Duff, Jessica Alba, Jessica Simpson, Kim K. Almost all Jessica Biel candids are without a stitch of makeup. They all look fine (well, Simpson before she got fat).

    There is a big difference between “without a stich of makeup” in decent lighting VS “without a stich of makeup”, while laying down and the only light is an LED flash from a cellphone less than a foot from your face.

    Agreed with you and Leni above. I also think that the lighting has a lot to do with it. In the Katy pic she is in really bad lighting that and making a stupid face. I have taken pics of girls without make up first thing in the morning and in person they look good, but on the camera with bad lighting they look like death.

    If somebody were to wake you up at 4 AM and take a pic of you when you had just woken up, you wouldn’t be at your best.

    No, 75% of women on earth do NOT look ugly without make up on. How you look without make up depends a lot on how clear your skin is and how well you slept the day before. If you have clear skin free of blemishes and other imperfections, you will look good without make up, and compared to how you look with make up on, the difference won’t be really drastic. The biggest advantage make up provides a woman with is to give her a clear skin…lipstick, eyeshadow, etc are just a plus.
