So what are your thoughts on the job that Anne Hathaway and James Franco did as hosts of the Oscars? She did have a fan in Billy Crystal:
“That felt really good. I didn’t realize I was doing it for [Crystal’s praise,] but it turns out I was because my heart just exploded,”
“We rehearsed together… the first thing I did was kneel before [Crystal,] and take his hand and the second thing I did was [ask him,] ‘Tell me what to do,’ and he said, ‘Just look like you want to be there every single second that you are on camera.’ I’m like, ‘Well, I got that part in the bag,’ because this whole thing has been such an amazing adventure and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now.
“I was working with the loveliest people, it was the most effortless collaboration that it never felt like work. I really mean it, it was an adventure. And I was so curious what was going to happen next, I had no idea what I was doing, so I was just really curious.” Source
damn right, dude. When Billy Crystal showed up, and audience was giving standing ovation, I guess they were like: "Please Billy, you can take the stage now, please save this damn show!" and yeah, I was following who the won from some comedians on twitter too. that damn streaming tv stopped working in the middle of the show but I guess I didnt miss that much, right? the result was basically very predictable.
I agree Boz. I only enjoyed it because I was following some comedians on Twitter who were posting funny comments about the crap we were watching. Anne seemed to have to work twice as hard because Franco was asleep at the whell. He is either doing too much pot or he's just doing too much period. I bet they get Billy Crystal next year!
she was gorgeous as per usual, I mean she doesn't have to do much to be gorgeous, but that dress was boring for the red carpet as the host...
Seriously, I'm gonna have to say it again; yesterday's Oscar was horible. Most of the jokes werent funny, it was awkward and boring.
the last 30 min. are all one actually needs to watch as all the important Oscars are handed out then. just curious, how many followed the 45 seconds of time rule for speaches rambling on & thanking everyone they've ever seen crossing the street. that's one big reason for lost viewers.
must be the year of red dresses with more than one of that color there....still better than some of the strange things some have worn in past years
I'd like to be her underwear during her non-period days.
ugh, she's way too pale. maybe it's just the lightning but she looks like an (pretty) undead.
attractive but SO pale, boring host though
I hate her big goofy smile.
It wasn't great but not terrible. There were some funny moments and most of the main winners had nice speeches. Hathaway tried but was obviously nervous, and Franco had to have been high on something and didn't seem to care at all.
I never watch award show thingys. What a snooze fest.
I didn't watch but I heard it was boring.
