Ashley Tisdale & Vanessa Hudgens @ Elton John’s Oscar Party

Neither Ashley Tisdale nor Vanessa Hudgens look like they’ll be winning an Oscar soon. We don’t think that any of their 2011 efforts will deserve any recognition during award season unless it’s the razzie (Congrats to Jessica Alba!).

Let’s see, Ashley Tisdale has the upcoming Disney Direct-to-DVD Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure being released on April 19th while she continues to rake in $30,000 per episode of CW’s Hellcats (no Emmy nominations there). Vanessa has a couple of theatrical releases upcoming; Beastly and Sucker Punch. Beastly opens in theaters this Friday, March 4th, and 3 weeks later we get Sucker Punch in IMAX.

Brooklyn Decker @ 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

It looks like Brooklyn Decker is serious about this acting thing and directors are taking notice as we found out on her Wiki page that she’ll be starring alongside Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgård, and Liam Neeson; however, Rihanna also has a role in the movie so who knows how serious the movie will actually be.

Battleship is an upcoming 2012 science fiction naval war film based on the game of the same name. The film was originally planned to be released in 2011, but rescheduled to May 18, 2012.[1] The film will involve the Navy’s response to an alien invasion. Wiki

Sofia Vergara stars as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on ABC’s Modern Family. The show is currently in season two and can be seen on Wednesdays at 9/8c. Watch full episodes and clips at Modern Family at ABC.com.

Sofia says that she was once told to lose weight if she wanted to be famous: “You will look better in the pictures. You see all the actresses and how they look.” Source

Jessica Biel @ 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Jessica Biel starred in 3 movies in 2010; The A-Team, Valetine’s Day, and Nailed. You probably heard of the first two but the third, we didn’t even know about that until hitting up her Wiki page. The movie apparently had a $30 million budget but production was halted.

Alice Eckle (Jessica Biel) accidentally gets a nail lodged in her head, which drives her to travel to Washington D.C. to fight for better health care. While there, she falls in love with a young senator, Howard Birdwell (Jake Gyllenhaal). Wiki

Look for Jessica in 2011 in The Tall Man and New Years Eve.

Anne Hathaway @ 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

No reason to talk further about Anne Hathaway’s job at hosting the Oscars so we’ll give a plug to her upcoming role in Rio, where she voices a Jewel, a female blue macaw, alongside Jesse Eisenberg, as the voice of Blu, the male blue macaw. The movie is set to open in theaters on April 15th. Some of the others involved are George Lopez, Tracey Morgan, Jamie Foxx, Jane Lynch, and Leslie Mann. More info at the Rio official website.

Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) is a rare species of blue macaw resident at a bookstore in Moose Lake, Minnesota, who is the last of his kind. When scientists learn that another macaw was spotted in South America and that the macaw, Jewel (Anne Hathaway) is female, they take him out of Minnesota and send him to Rio de Janeiro to meet her. While there, he learns to confront his fear of flying in order to win her heart. Wiki

Petra Nemcova announced her engagement to British actor Jamie Belman in January and talked briefy about the wedding plans; they want “craziness”.

“It will probably be in England, but we’re still figuring out which specific place will be the best. We haven’t picked just yet.”

“Part of it will be more formal and part of it will be just lots of fun and just craziness. We want a little bit of craziness.”

“Both of us knew right away. We fell in love really, really fast. He is a real man. There are no layers. He’s not like an onion. He is who is. He’s incredibly loving, nurturing and caring and I love that.” Source

Lifetime Movie Network recently premiered Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy starring Hayden Panettiere as Amanda Knox. The movie has come with criticism and Hayden tries to divert the controversy but trying to point out the mother/daughter story in addition to the main focus of the murder. Additionally, she won’t allow herself to get into any trouble by leaning one way or the other on the subject of Amanda Knox’s innocence or guilt.

“Every other week, I have a different opinion. I spent five weeks reading testimony, finding new information and discussing the case,”

“I watched videos of her with her friends and listened to the way she spoke. But I didn’t talk to her or her family. She did want to be with me at one point, but she has only two days a week to talk to her family and have visitors, and it didn’t seem right to monopolize her time.” Source
