Victoria’s Secret didn’t bother with the rookies for this assignment. Instead, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, and Adriana Lima went to the launch of Swim 2011 at the Mondrian Los Angeles in West Hollywood.

After having 5 Victoria’s Secret Angels at the announcement of “Incredible” and just Lindsay Ellingson for VS Attractions, VS decided to skip over calling up Chanel Iman, Lily Aldridge, Erin Heatherton, and Lindsay for the launch of Swim 2011. It’s like they did a three-for-one trade of Chanel, Lily, and Erin from the “Incredible” launch for Ale. Of course, for you Team Miranda folks out there, we’re sure she would’ve been called up too if she was bikini-ready.

    Candice is definitely jealous of Adriana, trying SO hard to look sexy and flirty. Either she got too skinny or looks too skinny comparing to thicker Adriana.
    Adri’s midsection is a little boxy, her face is gorgeous as always, it’s just I don’t like her hair so dark and parted in the middle, not flattering.
    Alessandra is bowlegged, can’t get over how short her legs are.

    K idk why people are saying Adri looks so stunning here… I completely disagree. I just don’t dig her looks anymore. Ever since she had a child, her beauty hasn’t translated to photographs imo. I’m sure in person she’d still be gorgeous but her face is too round yet gaunt. I don’t like her jawline and her body is wack to me. She used to have at least a round ass now it seems to have flattened, her legs are long but shapeless, her implants have become more obvious, her torso is too boxy and her arms/upper body is too big in comparison to her lower body. And wtf is up with that monokini? It is hideous.
    2. I don’t like Candice’s face when she cheeses that hard. Her chin is odd and her otherwise beautiful features become distorted. Body is beyond ridiculous though but then again, I love skinny chicks… and her skin is flawless. Not a SINGLE stretch mark. Damn you, Candice. Love her eyes.
    3. Ale looks amazing here imo. I think she looks the best, idk why she’s being overlooked. I like her bone structure, very symmetrical, unlike Adriana’s but then again it may just be the hair.
    4. Yes, Candice is trying to outshine Adriana but it’s because Adri is always talking over everyone and attention-whoring. In interviews, they always leave poor Candice out. She does seem boring though. They all do really. lmao I find them all contrived and boring. Where are the hot girls with personality at? Hate on Gisele all you want, but that bitch was charismatic and fun as hell. I miss her. Sry about this rant.

    I don’t think so. An hourglass body shape is characterized by equal hip and bust measurements with a much narrower waist. Approximately the waist has to be ten inches smaller than your bust and hip measurements.
    And I just see that Adriana’s hips, bust and waist have all pretty much the same size… There is hardly a difference between them…

    You people are harsh. I worship the hourglass shape (though I also enjoy pears), I hate apple shape, straight/rectangle, and worst of all, V-shape (Ke$ha). If I had to categorize Adriana, I’d say it’s between athletic and hourglass. Calling her figure straight is not realistic IMO.

    I already explained what characterizes an hourglass body shape.
    So please compare the following pictures and tell me where Adriana has these features:

    Real hourglass body:

    Adriana’s waist is not the narrowest point of her body. Her hips, waist and bust have almost the same size. She just has not the needed measurements for an hourglass shape. She cannot be a semi hourglass, either (like you said). Actually, her body is quite linear. That’s a fact. (Otherwise show me where she has these curves you’re talking about.)
    Don’t get me wrong: I don’t want to claim that a certain body type would be better than another. Because body shapes are a question of individual taste. But you should look at someone how he really is and then decide if you like what you’re seeing or not.

    When I look at Adriana, I see a goddess. But I can’t deny that she has a linear body. I personally prefer the hourglass and the guitar body shape, therefore I don’t like her body much. But as I already said: It’s okay! It would be great if she had such a body, but hey - nobody is perfect! She is absolutely gorgeous and hot though. I love Adriana - she is and will remain my number one. You can be totally stunning and beautiful although you have flaws. And Adriana’s flaw is her body. But that’s just my point of view. Maybe somebody else thinks that her lips are her flaw.

    Maybe. It’s so funny, I have this one friend and when she is a normal weight and a normal dress size she is straight up and down. When she puts on weight she gets really doughy love handles and saddlebags which give the illusion of curves and she always goes on about her curvy shape.     I think it is just these pics…it looks to me that candice has toned her body up and is less “soft” in the middle. She also has been during a ton of runway work for high fashion lstely, so she kind of has that look going on right now

Whenever I listen to her speak in interviews, I am embarrassed for her and feel like I am enduring the most painfully awkward experience. Everyone says she is the “next supermodel” but honestly, she doesn’t really have the face, and definitely not the personality. I want to listen to a beautiful woman who is FUNNY, outspoken, charming, and vivacious! That’s the type of woman that’s going to sell shit, not a scripted, quiet robot who can’t even seem to answer questions.

    Well, I think it’s al little bit unfair on Adriana. You seem to forget that she used to make dumb grimaces all the time. She always laughed, danced around and appeared like she didn’t take herself too seriously. You call that unfunny? She was full of the joys of life. Since Adriana has her little girl, she has become quite calmer. Sometimes it even seems that she doesn’t enjoy her job anymore. But I think she’s still very charismatic and livelier than most of the other VS girls. You just have to watch her face in videos narrowly.
