Since Melody Thornton has no real options after the demise of Pussycat Dolls and her solo career hasn’t taken off, she’s now got a gig as a contestant on ITV1’s Popstar to Operastar. The second series debuted the other night and the other contestants include: X Factor winner 2009 Joe McElderry, Ultravox frontman Midge Ure, Toploader’s Joe Washbourn, Erasure’s Andy Bell, Bucks Fizz’s Cheryl Baker, Steps’ Claire Richards and US soul singer Jocelyn Brown.
