Judging by the last “X-Men” film, it’s very easy to give “X-Men: First Class” the pass at theaters, but all the trailers and early buzz behind the action flick is making things very enticing. As for 20-year old Jennifer Lawrence, who hit it big in last year “Winter’s Bone,” is playing the role of Mystique. The role was previously played by model-turned actress Rebecca Romijn, so major props to Jennifer for pulling this off!!

The film goes into wide-release this Friday, but you can catch it at some theaters starting today!

Here’s some plot action:

X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon.
