J.T.’s a co-owner of the joint, so I guess there’s no better marketing tool than an announced performance to build some buzz! With all his recent successes at the box-office, I almost forgot that his claim to fame is music, so it’s nice to see him hitting up a live performance. Don’t know about you bastards, but I certainly wouldn’t mind an impromptu J.T. performance to go with my baby back ribs, mac & cheese & fried pickles! OW!
Anyway, Justin’s next big film to hit theaters is actually a $200 million sci-fi action thriller titled “In time” starring Amanda Seyfried & Olivia Wilde, who, believe it or not, plays the role of his mother! I caught the trailer recently when I saw “Rise of the Planet of Apes” and I gotta admit, it looked pretty sweet. I’m pulling for the guy b/c he’s a true entertainer. Here’s some plot:
In a retro-future when the aging gene has been switched off, people must pay to stay alive. People stop aging at 25 years old. However, stamped on their arm is a clock of how long they will live. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man is accused of murder when he inherits a fortune of time from a dead upper class man. He is forced to go on the run from a corrupt FBI-like police force known as the ‘Timekeepers’.
