The 10th year anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11 is this coming Sunday, September 11th, 2011. In honor of those who lost their lives, survived the attacks, helped in rescue efforts or were personally affected - MyGoodDeed (www.911day.org), a leading 9/11 nonprofit organization, and HandsOn Network, the volunteer activation division of Points of Light Institute - have launched an inspiring national PSA campaign themed “I Will.”
The PSA features survivors and relatives of 9/11 victims, along with celebrities and athletes to encourage people everywhere to engage in good deeds and join the effort.
THE GOAL: This powerful campaign hopes to organize the single largest day of charitable service. The goal is ONE MILLION GOOD DEED TRIBUTES before September 11, 2011 and we’d love for you and your readers to participate in this national campaign for good.

No American will ever forget what happened on 9/11, but to commemorate what happened on that day is ill-advised in my opinion. Especially if I was someone who lost a spouse, parent, child, etc. on that day, I wouldn't want to be reminded via anniversaries.
Also, there are a whole bunch of people who risked their lives to save other people trapped in the rubble who are sick with cancer because of the stupid government, yet they say that these people don't qualify for federal aid because "insufficient evidence exists at this time to propose a rule to add cancer, or a certain type of cancer" to the list of diseases that qualify for aid under the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, even though most of the cancers are respiratory. How can anyone trust a government who doesn't even care to help it's own people? They call them heroes and then just leave them to die.
