Ever since Katherine Heigl adopted a baby girl with special needs (had some heart-related issues) from South Korea a few years back, it’s been very difficult to take shots at her bitchy, pretentious personality. It’s possible the adoption made her a little more humble, but we’re gonna assume that’s highly unlikely for someone like Katherine. She’s one of those personality types who feels like the world revolves around her. After all, her adopted girl’s name is Nancy Leigh (named after Katherine’s mom & older sister, who’s also adopted from S. Korea)—way to instill some of that Korean culture into your adopted kid!
Anyway, Katherine & husband Josh Kelley were on hand at the Paris premiere of her latest shitty film “One for the Money.” The premiere was held at the held at the Gaumont Marignan Cinema. Here’s more juice:
Stephanie Plum (Katherine Heigl), out of work and out of cash, turns in desperation to her disreputable cousin Vinnie, of Vinnie’s Bail Bonds, for work. Despite having no equipment, training or particular skill she becomes a bail enforcement agent, chasing after Vinnie’s highest stakes bail jumper: Joe Morelli, a former vice cop who is wanted for murder, who also happened to seduce and dump Stephanie back in high school.
In the midst of the chase, Stephanie has to deal with meddling family, a problematic tendency of witnesses to die when she gets too close, and lessons in bounty hunting from the mysterious Ranger (Daniel Sunjata). When she finally catches up to Morelli, she realizes that the case against him doesn’t add up and that the old flame from their school days may just be rekindling. Since I’m a huge fan, it’s nice to see Joaquin Phoenix finally at work after he committed career suicide a few years ago. The fact that he scored a role alongside Marion Cotillard is a testament to his level of talent, so let’s hope for the best this time around!
Snapped yesterday afternoon in Brooklyn, actress Marion Cotillard and co-star Joaquin Phoenix were hard at work on the set of their new film, which is directed by James Gray & currently remains untitled (although “Low Life” is being thrown around). Here’s more about the film from IMDb: “An innocent immigrant woman is tricked into a life of burlesque and vaudeville until a dazzling magician tries to save her and reunite her with her sister who is being held in the confines of Ellis Island.”
If Mario Lopez is indeed just a great friend and doesn’t want a piece or hasn’t ever gotten a piece, then I’m gonna have to question his sexual orientation. Anyway, BFFs Eva Longoria and Mario Lopez take home doggie bags after dining together at Katsuya restaurant in Los Angeles. Mario’s married to Broadway dancer Courtney Laine Mazza and Eva is currently dating Eduardo Cruz.
These were snapped yesterday afternoon in West Hollywood as both were spotted out & about wearing their workout gear. Emily Blunt was seen walking back to her car with a post-workout juice in her hand. “The Adjustment Bureau” actress was sporting a Nike top and tights w/ short shorts (she should screw the tights next time!).
As for new mommy Selma Blair, she’s doing her best to get back in shape after giving birth to a baby boy last July. She named the kid Arthur Saint, which will probably get his ass kicked at least a couple times, but it’s definitely not as bad as Blue Ivy or Apricot or Lotion. From a career standpoint, the big news floating around these days is that Selema is reportedly in the running to star in “Anger Management,” a TV spinoff of the Adam Sandler hit film. The show will star the highly controversial, yet lucrative Charlie Sheen.
