Rihanna Hits BBC Radio 1 To Help Promote “Battleship” Movie

Since we discussed the upcoming “Battleship” movie in detail in an earlier post featuring Brooklyn Decker, we’ll rehash some of that writeup.

The producers of the $200 million action flick are obviously utilizing their sexy cast members to promote the shit out of “Battleship,” which is based on the classic children’s game by Hasbro. This is the second day in a row that Rihanna has been out & about doing promotional work in London. We’re pretty sure the show will move to other European cities ahead of its big UK release on April 11. It’s scheduled to hit US theaters on May 18.

Before you hate, let’s not forget that “Transformers” was also created by Hasbro, so I’m pretty sure producers are hoping to strike gold again (we’re optimistically doubtful (assuming that’s possible)). I just can’t see a film based on a strategy game like “Battleship” working on the big screen, but I hope I’m proven wrong. With a somewhat random cast that includes a S.I. Swimsuit cover girl (Brooklyn Decker), world-famous pop star (Rihanna) and a world famous actor (Liam Neeson), the results should be very interesting, to say the least.

In the Hawaiian Islands, an international naval fleet at Pearl Harbor engage in a dynamic and intense battle against an alien species known as “The Regents”. The aliens come to planet Earth on a mission to build a power source in the ocean. Upon their visit, they come in contact with the naval fleet. The film is also purported to show both sides of the story, from the aliens’ perspective, as well as the humans’ so the audience knows exactly where the opponent’s ships are.[3] [Source]
