Mila Kunis was in Las Vegas for 2012 CinemaCon along with James Franco as they were doing some promo work for their upcoming movie Oz: The Great and Powerful set for release next year. The movie is seen as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz. James Franco stars as Oscar (Oz) Diggs while Mila along with Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz stars as the three witches. You can also expect Zach Braff, Abigail Spencer, and Tony Cox in the movie too. Look for it in theaters in March 2013. For more info, visit the Oz: The Great and Powerful official website. Ever since Cheryl Cole got the boot from Simon Cowell’s U.S. version of “X-Factor,” she literally disappeared from the limelight & as a result, we rarely see her out & about workin’ her hotness. It’s kind of sad considering Cheryl always seems to kill it each time she steps in front of the cameras.
Anyway, Cheryl’s appeared on ‘The Chris Moyles Show’ earlier this morning to slowly kick off the promo tour for her upcoming third solo album “A Million Lights,” which is set to release on June 18. Additionally, The album’s lead single “Call My Name” goes live on June 10.
Staying true to her fashionista side, Cheryl looked sexy in a pair of polka dot leggings, complimented by a black leather jacket, yellow top & bright pink shoes. Photo Credit: Splash News Online
Well, I was all ready to rip my sides open with laughter when I attended a special screening for The Five-Year Engagement last night. Alas, as my SAT tutor used to tell me, there is such a thing as ‘too much preparation’. I didn’t bust a gut during this latest comic caper from “the producers of Bridesmaids” (as the promos happily inform us). In fact, I barely cracked a wry smile.
Now don’t get me wrong: the movie is humorous. After all, what’s funnier than two people in a relationship who can’t seem to figure “it” out because, well, neither one even knows what “it” is, much less who the other person is. Human misery (especially the kind inflicted on the unwilling) is effing hysterical.
Or it should be. The movie tells the story of a sweet and (for all intensive purposes) “normal” couple comprised of a sous chef named Tom (Jason Segel) and a doctoral candidate named Violet (Emily Blunt). They get engaged in San Francisco but are then quickly transported to Michigan where Violet sets her nose to the grindstone to become the academic she always aspired to be. Tom accepts a job at a deli where’s he’s essentially The World’s Most Overqualified Sandwich Maker, which is a damper because now they have to stay even longer as Violet is asked to do some post-doctoral research. They’re still engaged, right?
On top of all this, Violet’s sister gets pregnant with Tom’s buffoon of a best friend - and for some reason, this messed up couple with a bastard child is able to get their nuptials done with greater ease and decisiveness than Tom and Violet.
Other circumstances arise that force them to postpone the wedding, most of which are purely incidental and really don’t have anything to do with their relationship. By the end of it all, (if you’re anything like me) you have your credit card in hand so you can buy them a one-way ticket to Vegas just to get the deed done already. It gets old and frustrating pretty fast - just like Violet and Tom’s relationship.
Blunt and Segel are pretty charming throughout (as you might expect them to be) but they are saddled with a drama that wants to be a comedy and this proves to be their undoing. The misery of human relationships may be funny to witness as an non-invested spectator, but watching two actors play comedy in a drama is downright tragic. Judd Apatow should know better. Stick to one genre, Judd!
Rihanna set aside all her normally freaky clothes & looked absolutely beautiful in a fuchsia dress on the glamorous red carpet at the 8th annual TIME 100 Gala celebrating its 100 Most Influential People in the World. The event was held earlier this evening (April 24) at the Frederick P. Rose Hall at Lincoln Center in NYC.
The edgy pop sensation, who makes her cash exploiting her inner-freaky side by acting like a sex-crazed machine, performed at the gala alongside the wildly talented Raphael Saadiq. Odd pairing, but maybe there will be a crazy spark? YouTube clip to follow later…

There’s just no stopping those waif-ish Hollywood starlets, is there? Not that we hate them for it, because why else would we be so enamored by Camilla Belle and Leelee Sobieski, who showed up in their 1960s Jackie-O best at the Tribeca Artists Dinner hosted by Chanel? Though we don’t have any photographic proof, we’re pretty sure neither one of these ladies did much eating.
ADDS: More photos since we really like Camilla and other hotties in attendance, especially Jessica Hart!! OW!!

Now this must a big surprise to see that Mischa Barton actually got herself a solo post on the site. Well, Mischa attended BritWeek Los Angeles last night and more surprising is that we have something to write about her. Mischa recently launched an online store with her, Mischa’s Place, (you’re welcome for the link, Mischa), selling “bohemian style” clothing, handbags, accessories and beauty products. Considering, according to her Wiki page, that Mischa has a bunch of movies supposedly set for release in 2012, if those are all Direct-to-DVD failures, she’s got something to try and fall back on, if you’re into that whole “bohemian style”.

You’d think that there’d be no reason to post Maria Fowler because she really doesn’t do anything and is best-known for her reality TV career on The Only Way Is Essex. Very true; however, I guess we should write that she’s split from boyfriend Lee Croft. Apparently he’s the one that “needs time to himself”. Seeing that she’ll probably land some big paycheck to appear in another TV show soon enough, we think that the following quotes are just for show.
“It’s been a really tough time for me. I changed my whole life to be with Lee and moved up to Scotland to be with him when he was signed by St. Johnstone on loan. I thought we were going to spend the rest of our lives together but Lee is not ready to settle down yet.

These were snapped earlier this morning as Kate Upton & NY Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul made an appearance on ‘Fox & Friends’ in Midtown, NYC. They plugged the NFL draft, as well as took part in a football challenge which called for each person to show off their throwing skills. I gotta admit, Kate’s pretty damn good. We should also mention that both Jason & Kate are working the nonprofit Fitness Without Borders, which will hold another event later today in NYC.
As an added bonus, we’re also including pics from a recent shoot featuring Kate:
And finally, did we mention that Kate makes a cameo in “3 Stooges,” which is out in theaters right now? Photo Credit: Splash News Online
