EURO 2012, Spain Over Portugal After Penalty Kicks: Did Ronaldo Choke?

Even though I’m on the Spanish bandwagon, just like countless millions around the globe, I was dumbfounded to see how Portugal didn’t let Ronaldo take a penalty kick earlier in the rotation. What the fuck is up with that?! Or maybe he decided to hold off on his own?! Whatever the case, that’s a sad-sad way to end a semi-final game, that’s for sure.

Any football/soccer gurus wanna take a shot at this one?

And of course, if you’re feeling sorry for the guy, don’t waste too much of your time…

For those who can’t get enough of her, Katy Perry: Part of Me is the upcoming documentary/concert film centering on Katy’s life and career; and it’s in 3D. Without wanting to do much research into the film, our guess is that it’s just like those other concert films of Justin Bieber, Jonas Brothers, and Glee. Look for it in theaters on July 5th. For more info visit the Katy Perry: Part of Me official website.

This film tells the story of the trajectory of Perry’s career as gospel singer Katherine Hudson until the present day as pop singer and global superstar Katy Perry, bearing testimony from Katy (real name Katherine) about her childhood, talking about the Teenage Dream era, with scenes from backstage of her last world tour while trying to take time to resolve personal problems, including her divorce from British comedian Russell Brand. The interim scenes document her last world tour, the California Dreams Tour, and were recorded on November 23, 2011 at Staples Center, Los Angeles. [Wiki]

“Savages” Premiere: Sandra Echeverria Was A Red Carpet Standount

Photo Credit: Pacific Coast News; WENN

We wanted to get these up yesterday, but with following our earlier barrage of posts from the “Savages” premiere on Monday night in Los Angeles, we figured we’d spread the hotness over a couple days.

With that in hand, say hello to 27-year-old, Mexican-flavored Sandra Echeverría. From a relationships standpoint, she was dating Demian Bichir (48) for a couple years until last year when she fell in love with Mexican singer-songwriter Leonardo de Lozanne, who’s slightly younger, but still in his 40s. Damn, what is it with Latin men liking older men?!

Anyway, Sandra has a small role in Oliver Stone’s latest film “Savages,” which also stars Blake Lively, Salma Hayek & Benicio del Toro. Here’s more about Sandra:

Sandra Echeverría Gamboa (commonly referred to as Sandra Echeverría) is a Mexican actress and singer.[1] Sandra Echeverria was born on December 11, 1984 in Mexico, DF to Mexican parents. They divorced when Sandra was only 11. She has 1 older sister of the same parents named Mariana born in 1983. [Source]

As for her new film “Savages,” check the trailer below:

For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with the Euro 2012 tournament, there are two semi-final matches, with Portugal v Spain on Wednesday & Italy v Germany on Thursday. Definitely make sure you tune into both matches on ESPN.

On to more juicier matters: Italian bombshell Claudia Romani continues to spice things up in Miami Beach. Her latest antics include showing some love to team Italy by posing for photos holding a flag & wearing a I-heart-Italy T-shirt. Although, I must admit, I had a difficult time focusing on flag & T-Shirt for some reason. We’ll let you guys try your luck…

Also, we’ve built up a nice collection of Claudia Romani photos, so make sure you check them all out!

BREAKING! One Direction Singer Harry Styles Drives A Ferrari California

It’s nice to see that the dude is actually getting a cut from the money the British-Irish boy band pulls while touring across the globe. They formed after making unsuccessful individual appearances on UK’s “The X Factor” and Nicole Scherzinger suggested they should consider forming a boy band. They’re managed by Simon Cowell’s Syco music label in Europe & by Columbia Records in North America.

Believe it or not, but this boy band gig actually pays off big for the guys involved, but especially for their managers. According to the band’s Wiki, One Direction’s world tour is set for 2013, with tickets grossing $15.7 million for their Australian and New Zealand dates.

For the record, that dude is rolling in a $195K Ferrari California. If I was living his fantasy lifestyle, I would’ve opted for the new Aston Martin DB9 for the remainder of 2012 & then replace it with a 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish next spring.

Andrew Garfiled Wants Another “Amazing Spider-Man” - And He Wants to Star In It Too

They already have a release date for the second one. But no script! So we have our priorities in order.”[The Hollywood Reporter]

The Amazing Spider-Man doesn’t hit theaters nationwide until next Tuesday July 3, but Sony has apparently already gone ahead and begun development on the sequel. It’s no secret that star Andrew Garfield wants to star in the sequel as the Webby Crusader, though there is no script just yet.

Garfield confessed, “If we do one, I hope I can do it — I hope they’d let me do it. I hope so.”

We’d venture to say that even without a script in hand just yet, a second Amazing Spider-Man is almost surely a foregone conclusion, especially with the movie on track for a $125 million opening weekend haul.

Hollywood Tweets Its Love For Nora Ephron

When legendary writer-director Nora Ephron passed away yesterday from complications from leukemia, she left a void in Hollywood that will be difficult to fill. With no other female writer-director (or even male writer-director) with a comparable track record and writing ability readily available, Ephron has been inspiring movie lovers and actors alike for decades.

Some of her famous writing credits include When Harry Met Sally and Silkwood and she also directed movies like Sleepless In Seattle, Julie & Julia, and You’ve Got Mail.

Some of the most popular tweets that went out yesterday upon news of her demise included the following:

Zooey Deschanel‏‪: I’m very sad about Nora Ephron, a hero for all funny ladies.

Jessica Biel: Nora Ephron…thank you for your ground breaking contributions for women in the film industry. You have truly paved the way. With respect…

New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg‏‪: Nora Ephron always loved a good New York story, and she could tell them like no one else. NYC will miss her very much.

Justin Timberlake: R.I.P. Nora Ephron… Funny, charming, witty, full of heart, and one of the greatest who put it all down in timeless, quotable classics.

Kevin Nealon: Auditioned for Nora Ephron 20 yrs ago. Didn’t get the part but she sent me a thank you note. I’ll always remember that and you, Nora.

Bette Midler‏‪: Nora Ephron. The Hostess with the Mostest on the Ball. A brilliant soul, and we will all miss her so….

Alyssa Milano‏‪: Rest in peace, Nora Ephron. ♡

Kerry Washington: @shondarhimes: I try to write parts for women that are as complicated and interesting as women actually are.” -Nora Ephron”

Matchup: Blake Lively @ “Letterman” vs Denise Richards @ “Good Morning America”

Photo Credit: FameFlynet Pictures; Pacific Coast News; WENN

Both ladies donned beautiful, white dresses as they made the rounds through various NYC media outlets promoting their respective projects. As we mentioned earlier, Blake Lively is promoting “Savages,” a crime-thriller by director Oliver Stone. The “Gossip Girl” hottie-turned A-List actress was back to showing off her legs as she arrived for a taping of ‘Late Show With David Letterman’.

As for the ageless Denise Richards, the actress was seen hitting up ABC’s “Good Morning America” to promote Tyler Perry’s latest film “Madea’s Witness Protection.” Since when did Tyler Perry start hiring white people for his films?! Looks like he’s only getting the ones who’ll work for cheap…
