As the award season gets into full swing, last night’s star-studded event was the 18th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport. We’ll cover most of the big-shots who walked the red carpet, so look for those photos soon.

The big winners will definitely send mix signals b/c certain Oscar snubs turned out to take the top honors. Best Picture went to Ben Affleck’s “Argo” & the actor-turned-director also scored the award for Best Director. While “Argo” received a Best Picture nod by the Oscars, Ben Affleck didn’t get any love in the director category. Seems like somebody didn’t kiss the right asses!

Best Director: Ben Affleck — Argo
