Are they the new Tracy-Hepburn? The new Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan? Not since Gandalf and Frodo have we seen two actors more apt to turn up in the same movie together – we are talking, of course, about Jennifer “Hunger Games” Lawrence and Bradley “Hangover” Cooper.

After starring in the Oscar-winning Silver Linings Playbook and the upcoming drama American Hustle (where they crowd the screen with Amy Adams and Christian Bale), the duo will be back on screen in the Depression period drama Serena . . . which has already been shot like two years ago.

Yup, the movie with two of the hottest stars in Hollywood just can’t seem to crawl out of the editing room and into cinemas. Insiders, however, insist that the oft-cited production troubles are not to blame: “There were no reshoots or anything like that. It was just a real precision edit because the story is about a woman’s descent into madness. And Susanne (Bier, the director) is a total perfectionist.”

It’s a good sign that the movie has distributors like the Weinstein Co. jockeying to sign on, as J.Law is said to have given yet another flawless performance. Stay tuned for an official release date.
