Sarah Jones, the second camera assistant on the film Midnight Rider who was tragically killed by a train while shooting, has become the object of an industry-wide tribute called ‘Slates for Sarah’.

Film and television sets all around the world – including Downton Abbey, Revenge, The Soul Man and Two and a Half Men - have posted videos and pictures of cast and crew with slates marked ‘Slates For Sarah’ in honor of the young woman.

Many have also called upon the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences to recognize Jones in Sunday night’s annual ‘In Memoriam’ Oscar presentation, with added calls for improved film safety regulations.
