“Several Lovatics started using #KATHY to send nasty tweets laced with obscenities and how they planned to “kill her” to the 53-year-old comedian. Griffin re-tweeted 12 of the more gruesome Twitter attacks to her account.” [US]
Kathy Griffin apparently stepped on some very sensitive toes recently when she called singer Demi Lovato the “biggest douche” she’s ever heard of after the singer called out Lady Gaga for glamorizing purging (Lovato is recovering from an eating disorder, you’ll recall).
Well, Lovato’s fans went ape shit on Griffin (notably via Twitter, where she received numerous death threats) which compelled the singer to step in and tweet:
So… feud over? Truce?

“Still single, Franco said in the same interview that he would “like a long-term relationship.” [US]
Well, now we know where James Franco draws the line: Lindsay Lohan.
Listed among numerous A-list celebrities on a self-penned list of bedroom conquests by Lindsay Lohan, Franco took the time to point out that, no, they did not (repeat: NOT) get busy under the sheets together … though they were friends at one point, so take that to mean what you will.
The actor recently addressed the sex scandal saying, “Lindsay herself has told lies about me with her people-she’s-slept-with list! So I feel like what I said is much less than what she’s said,” adding, “I don’t want to brag about it. I don’t know how that got out. She was having issues even then, so you feel weird. Honestly, she was a friend. I’ve met a lot of people that are troubled and sometimes you don’t want to do that.”
Moral of the story: don’t sleep with or befriend crackheads.
Just when you thought they were done reviving every 80s franchise . . . comes Michael Bay’s CGI-live action flick, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Starring megan Fox (as April) and Will Arnett (as Vernon), the Turtles are back to kick ass, perform kung fu, and, of course, eat a lotta lotta pizza.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles releases August 8.
Mark Ruffalo headlines a cast that includes Keira Knightley and Adam Levin in the new romantic middle-age coming-of-age story, Begin Again.
Ruffalo stars as a washed up record company executive who sees a singer named Gretta (Knightley) perform one night in the East Village after getting dumped by her longtime lover (played by Levine). What follows is the culmination of both musical ambition and romantic desire.
Begin Again hits cinemas this July.
