Remember Josh Hartnett? Kinda, right?
Well, the actor best known for a handful of cheesy romcoms from the late 90s and Black Hawk Down before apparently disappearing from the Hollywood scene altogether is back, and is revealing that he was offered every single major superhero role of the last decade, including Superman, Batman and Spiderman.
Why did he turn them all down?
According to Hartnett, “Somehow knew those roles had potential to define me, and I didn’t want that. I didn’t want to be labeled as Superman for the rest of my career. I was maybe 22, but I saw the danger.”
Hartnett is back in a few small, independent films set to release over the next year. Let’s see if he gets back into the mainstream swing of things anytime soon.
