Taylor Swift was spotted out for a hike in Hollywood. Taylor has given her whole catalog of songs to Jay-Z’s new music streaming service, Tidal. idal is banking on taking away customers from Spotify since they have the Swift catalog. Taylor’s 1989 Tour kicks off on May 5th in Tokyo.

    On another note….I get Spotify does not necessarily pay artists well for their songs’ play, but for Tidal to charge $20 a month for top 40 music you can hear on old school radio seems a little severe.

    Yeah…i mean, I don’t turn on Spotify to listen to Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Rihanna or Beyonce. I can always turn on the radio to hear their over-played songs. I stream music on spotify to discover the up and comer musicians, and to hear the songs that aren’t played on the radio. If they start to sign Artists you can’t hear on the radio then maybe they have a chance.
