Karlie Kloss at the TIME 100 Gala; So, Is She The New Gisele?
With Gisele currently in the tail end of her career (which will probably last another 5-10 years when you take into consideration the technical breakthroughs in airbrushing), Karlie Kloss might just be the model who will go on to take the top spot in the coming years. Having said that, she definitely has a huge pay-scale mountain to climb when you look at last year’s list (via Forbes):
We should note that Karlie made $4 million in 2014, but that was mainly because she was under contract with Victoria’s Secret. Now that’s no longer with the brand, she’s free to take her services to countless other brands and it appears she’s doing exactly that! If spring 2015 is any hint at how Karlie will do for the year, it’s looking like it will be a very lucrative one. Karlie officially has campaigns from some big name brands including Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade NY, Joe Fresh and L’Oreal Paris, just to name a few. I’m pretty sure she’ll be in the top 5 list of high-earners.
With that said, these latest photos are coming from TIME’s 100 Most Influential People In The World event held last night at Lincoln Center in NYC. We didn’t see any other VS models in attendance, so it seems like Karlie’s doing much better with the VS shackles off her body.
