Natalie Portman took a break from motherhood and attended a screening for her directorial debut film “A Tale Of Love And Darkness” at the closing night of the New York Jewish Film Festival. The screening was held at the Walter Reade Theater in NYC.
The film, which began shooting in Jerusalem back in 2014, is based on autobiographical novel by Israeli author Amos Oz. The book first released in 2002 only in Hebrew, but since then it has been translated into 28 languages! The 34-year-old actress will even star in the film as Oz’s mother.
Here’s more about the plot:
Oz chronicles his childhood in Jerusalem at the end of the British Mandate for Palestine and the early years of the State of Israel, and his teenage years on Kibbutz Hulda. As a child, he crossed paths with prominent figures in Israeli society, among them Shmuel Yosef Agnon, Shaul Tchernichovsky, and David Ben-Gurion. One of his teachers was the Israeli poet Zelda. Joseph Klausner was his great-uncle. Told in a non-linear fashion, Oz’s story is interwoven with tales of his family’s Eastern European roots. The family’s name was Klausner. By changing the name to a Hebrew one, Oz rebelled against that European background while affirming loyalty to the land of his birth.

Wow, looks like Michelle Rodriguez hasn’t left on her annual trip through the Mediterranean just yet. We’re assuming the trip kicks off sometime around March/April and then she conveniently pops up at all the film festivals, most notably Cannes Film Festival, while yacht hopping. I know I say this each time I post photos of Michelle, but I really think she enjoys her time in the biz! It seems like she mixes the perfect amount of work and play (which is typically 7/8 months of play and 4/5 months of work).
As for the photos, the 37-year-old actress, who’s reportedly worth upwards of $35 million, was seen leaving the gym following a workout in Brentwood. She looked very stylish in a patterned hoodie and a pair of sexy white yoga pants.
