Rita Ora Smoking Fashion Crack In NYC

The person that came into mind when I first saw these photos was Sharon Stone circa Basic Instinct, of all people. It was then I googled around for a photo of Sharon Stone wearing a similar outfit, but came up empty so I’m assuming it was my faulty memory playing games on me.
Rita Ora, the always-stylish Brit singer, was spotted out & about NYC earlier today rocking an oversized-suit jacket & skirt. The 25-year-old fashionista has been in the news as of late following the release of Beyonce’s new album Lemonade which hints at Rita possibly being one of Jay-Z’s side-pieces (probably one of his many side-pieces).
In light of those rumors, Rita may not attend the annual Met Gala which goes down tonight in order to avoid bumping into Queen B. Here’s more about tonight’s big Gala from NY Times:
Officially, it’s the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, a black-tie extravaganza held the first Monday in May to raise money for the Costume Institute (a.k.a. the fashion department), the only one of the Met’s curatorial departments that has to fund itself.
Unofficially, Monday night’s festivities in New York have been called many things, including “the party of the year,” “the Oscars of the East Coast” (mostly because of the star quotient and the elaborate red carpet, in which guests pose on the grand entrance stairs to the museum) and, somewhat pointedly, “an A.T.M. for the Met,” by the publicist Paul Wilmot.
