Busy mom & actress Natalie Portman was busy doing some promotional work in NYC earlier this morning for her latest project “A Tale of Love and Darkness,” which also serves as her directorial debut feature film. Natalie’s production company acquired rights to the autobiographical novel by Israeli author Amos Oz a while back & she’s been working on the film in Jerusalem since 2014.

Here’s more about the story, which was first published in Hebrew back in 2002:

Oz chronicles his childhood in Jerusalem at the end of the British Mandate for Palestine and the early years of the State of Israel, and his teenage years on Kibbutz Hulda. As a child, he crossed paths with prominent figures in Israeli society, among them Shmuel Yosef Agnon, Shaul Tchernichovsky, and David Ben-Gurion. One of his teachers was the Israeli poet Zelda. Joseph Klausner was his great-uncle. Told in a non-linear fashion, Oz’s story is interwoven with tales of his family’s Eastern European roots. The family’s name was Klausner. By changing the name to a Hebrew one, Oz rebelled against that European background while affirming loyalty to the land of his birth. Source

Natalie is like Mila Kunis, they both have gorgeous faces and average bodies, both are smart and keep their lives private. I have no idea why I said what I said and why I thought about Mila, lol.
