Fashionable Models At The Annual DVF Awards In NYC

Anyone and everyone in high fashion, as well as prominent members of the NYC-based sugar daddy community were on hand at the annual DVF Awards ceremony last night at the United Nations in NYC. The awards show was held as part of the Women in the World conference, which comes to an end today.

The DVF Awards was founded in 2010 by Diane von Furstenberg and The Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation to recognize and support extraordinary women who are dedicated to transforming the lives of other women; women who have had the courage to fight, the power to survive, and the leadership to inspire.

Honorees are celebrated annually at the DVF Awards ceremony at the United Nations in New York City, as part of the Women in the World conference.

Each year, five awards are bestowed to women who have demonstrated leadership, strength, and courage in their commitment to women’s causes. The Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation grants each honoree $50,000 for their non-profit organization in order to further their important work.

Jonah, who presumably slimmed down for another movie, was spotted hitting lunch at at Little Dom’s in Los Feliz yesterday afternoon. We’re going to assume he didn’t eat much.

Jennifer Aniston showed her hubby Justin Theroux support by attending the season three premiere of HBO’s “The Leftovers.” The series, which is in its final season, stars stars an ensemble cast featuring Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler, Chris Zylka, Margaret Qualley, Carrie Coon, and Ann Dowd. The Leftovers starts three years after a global event called the “Sudden Departure”, the inexplicable, simultaneous disappearance of 140 million people, 2% of the world’s population, on October 14, 2011.[8] Following that event, mainstream religions declined, and a number of cults emerged, most notably the Guilty Remnant.

The story focuses primarily on the Garvey family and their acquaintances in the fictional town of Mapleton, New York. Kevin Garvey is the Chief of Police. His wife Laurie has joined the Guilty Remnant. Hilary Duff Back To Work On ‘Younger’ Set in NYC

Hard working actress and busy mom Hilary Duff was back to filming the latest season of her popular “Younger” series in NYC. The stylish 29-year-old looked stylishly busy as she ran around set.

Anne Hathaway In All Black At “Colossal” Premiere in LA

“Colossal,” a new sci-fi comedy flick, initially screened at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival last September, but will finally go into wide-release later this weekend. The film, which is written & directed by Spanish filmmaker Nacho Vigalondo, stars Anne Hathaway, Jason Sudeikis, and Simon Pegg. Here’s more about the film’s somewhat odd plot:

After losing her job and boyfriend in New York, Gloria (Anne Hathaway) moves back to her hometown only to discover how strangely connected she is to an enormous Kaiju attacking Seoul, South Korea. Source

If you’re curious about reviews, the film received a very favorable response when it screened at TIFF. Here’s a snippet from the film’s Wiki:

On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 76% based on 50 reviews, with an average rating of 6.7/10. The site’s critical consensus consensus reads, “Colossal’s singular strangeness can be disorienting, but viewers who hang on may find that its genre-defying execution — and Anne Hathaway’s performance — is well worth the ride.”[16] On Metacritic, the film has a score of 59 out of 100, based on 14 critics, indicating “mixed or average reviews”.
