Who’s Watching The Mayweather vs Pacquiao Fight?

Screen Shot 2015-05-01 at 7.27.18 AM

It’s being billed as boxing’s “Fight of the Century,” so I’m assuming a few of you will tune in tomorrow night. I think it’s safe to say that the fight should’ve happened years ago when these two were in their primes, but I guess better late then never, especially when it comes with a fat pay day!

With said, here’s a quick review of the dollars in the mix:

Mayweather-Pacquiao will set all kinds of financial records; it’s projected to produce $72 million in ticket revenue, more than tripling the previous high for a prize fight. Mayweather, already the highest-paid athlete in the world, according to Forbes, will take some $180 million of the projected $300 million purse, with Pacquiao earning the rest. But these riches can’t buy any love—neither for Mayweather, nor his sport. Time

i need to figure out how to watch this. I don't want to buy it, but I also don't want to go to a bar and stand shoulder to should with a bunch of people that know nothing about boxing...but think they know it all.

Mayweather fights used to be played in Movie Theaters, and am shocked they aren't doing that for this fight. It must be Pacquiau that is against that. I watched Mayweather's fights against Canelo and the Maidana fights in the theater and it was fantastic

@Dinodan Isn't it also supposed to be on HBO & Showtime?

I was hoping to watch it on there.

@MoeJackson @Dinodan A replay will be on HBO or Showtime a week or so after the fight. But to see it live you have to buy the Pay-Per-View, which this fight is the most expensive fight in history at $100.

@Dinodan @MoeJackson I would say maybe find 10 people to throw in to watch at someone's house like a Super Bowl party.

@Dinodan @MoeJackson No wonder how these two are millionaires... $100 bucks to watch it on TV!!???? I called a local Champps and a Twin Peaks, they will be charging $30 and $20 for cover to watch it... just WOW! everybody is rich!

@Dinodan It'll be like a Hooters event, I think they outbid BWW. Anyway, in Pacquiao's country, the Philippines, this is shown free to anyone who has TV with either internal or roof antenna. Cable, too. PacMan is going to beat the crap out of floyd and he is going to dedicate this win to all the women floyd beat up.

@johnconnor777 @Dinodan @MoeJackson Technically, you get 3 fights. Europe only has to pay 20 Euro, which is like 30 something bucks. Once again, US people get screwed. Restaurant chains had to pay a licensing fee to show, must be decent coin that they in turn levy their customers.

@johnconnor777 @Gabbo @Dinodan @MoeJackson Well, i went to a friends house that bought it, and I pitched in a six pack. What an underwhelming fight. The fight was just like every other Mayweather fight. Mayweather ran away from Pacquiau, held, and complained to the ref all night. In the end Pacquiau couldn't catch up to Mayweather, and the few punches that Mayweather threw connected. God, his fights are so boring.

This fight is 5 years too late. I believe Manny would have won in his prime. Floyd always fights guys who are past their prime. Floyd is a great fighter, but his style is so boring to watch. I don't believe there has ever been a more empty undefeated record such as Floyd's. Dude knows how to get paid, though. Mayweather by decision and Manny's only chance to win is a KO.

Would be good to see Pacquiao win, it's probably not going to happen.
