Please make this the last Caitlyn/Bruce post. Is there anyone here who thinks we haven't seen enough?

I'm all for people doing what makes them happy as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. I didn't have a problem with the Diane Sawyer interview. He's famous and if people saw him walking around as a woman it would be a circus. He could explain the situation on his terms. The issue I have is the 8 part documentary series. I don't understand why someone would want to go through this experience with a camera crew following them around. He's getting paid, I get it, but doesn't he respect his own privacy? I don't know, but I'm a very private person. I don't Facebook or Instagram, because I like my privacy.

@Turnigy It is not considered a mental health issue in modern day America.

@Turnigy I don't know if Jenner has had the surgery, but they don't make anything close to a real vagina. They create a cavity with no self-cleaning, just an empty cavity that the body treats as a wound so the body tries to push it out and close it. As a result it requires regular dilation so it does not close. It needs to be douched all the time or it smells like death.

There are surgeons out there who will do anything for the challenge and curiosity. "Turn a penis into a vagina? Sure let's try!" It's messed up.

I think a lot of the problem would be cured if we just stopped with gender roles. Men have little flexibility in what to wear, how to look, and how to act. So many men who want to be a certain way feel they are the wrong gender. (Because of this, transgenderism is far more common in men than women.) We should have a society where someone like Bruce feels comfortable being whatever he wants to be without "changing" genders.

@McP @Turnigy McP that was a highly enlightened answer. It makes sense too. I have noticed for a long time that women can dress and express themselves anyway from ultra girly girly in a dress and heels and makeup to totally manly in overhauls and work boots and very seldom get called out on it. A typical man though can basically only dress in formal men's ware or casual men's ware.

A lot of crossdressers and transgenders get the courage to follow their hearts later in life like Caityn did. That means that they probably should dress age appropriately like older ladies. But who wants to wear dull old pant suits and dull long dresses and flat, orthopedic loafers?! So you get old males or transgenders dressing in wildly age inappropriate but "hot" young clothing and high heels. I think Caitlyn may be falling into that with the short skirt.
