Sandra Bullock Wins Best Actress @ The 17th Annual Hollywood Film Awards
As widely expected, Sandra Bullock is slowly building up massive amounts of steam as she heads into award season with her highly acclaimed portrayal of Dr. Ryan Stone in ‘Gravity‘, which is directed by Mexican Alfonso Cuarón and also stars George Clooney. I have yet to see many of the other Oscar hopeful films set for release in the coming weeks, but judging by all the work Sandra Bullock put into this role, it won’t surprise me at all if she runs away with her second Oscar (first was the 2009-hit ‘The Blind Side’). I feel like this latest win will be 10x sweeter than the first considering everything that happened w/ her douche bag-manwhore ex-husband Jesse James.
As for Sandra’s look on the red carpet, I’m really digging it! Major props to whoever is behind the hair & makeup because she’s look far-far younger than 49, which is pretty damn shocking in itself, to say the least.
‘Gravity’ trailer:
Plot:
Dr. Ryan Stone is a Mission Specialist on her first space shuttle mission aboard the Space Shuttle Explorer. She is accompanied by veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski, who is commanding his final expedition. Kowalski, who is wearing a thruster pack, flies around the space shuttle testing its operation. However, during their final spacewalk to service the Hubble Space Telescope, Mission Control in Houston warns the team that debris from a Russian missile strike on a defunct satellite has caused a chain reaction of destruction and that they must abort the mission. Shortly afterward, communications with Mission Control are lost, though Stone and Kowalski continue to transmit in hope that the ground crew can still hear them. Source
