We really thought Amy would pulled it out following her extended Caribbean vacations over the past couple years, but obviously the city of London would eventually succeed in taking her life. It’s very sad to hear about an extremely successful, critically acclaimed celebrity checking out way ahead of her time, but that’s the unfortunate reality of today’s mega famous. The industry will ride your ass while sucking every penny out of you and then coldly jump ship when you either refuse to play by the rules or simply unable to make anymore money. It’s the harsh reality of the modern entertainment industry.
Aside from the various conspiracy theories, there are very few facts floating around at the moment. All that people know right now is that she was found dead at her London home. This comes just more than a week after Amy was spotted walking around her Camden digs looking very healthy—or at least not like someone who was gonna mysteriously pass away in 10 days. Sorry but death isn't relative. If one of your loved ones dies do you say 'oh I shouldn't worry about my loss because X amount have people have died somewhere else'? If you are talking about media attention then consider the site on which you are expressing your view; it's a commentary on show business not current events. And I don't know about where you are but all my newspapers have devoted a lot more column inches to the Norwegian Massacre than to Amy Winehouse.

Yes, she is dead, she was very talented and I hope she R.I.P but she brought it on herself...so many people are commenting on her death when 93 innocent lives were taken, The whole norway massacre has hit me hard- i lived in finland for 3 years and I have visited Norway more than 6 times, beautiful country and the people are the nicest i've met, we actually got offered to move there but we said no because it would have been permanent. I get people are upset that Amy has died, but this whole Norway situation deserves much more attention. sorry, rant over.

Very sad I think. Drug use is almost always self inflicted but I still feel incredibly sorry for those who lose their lives because of bad decisions.

Yeah she was fucked up and drugged up like 99% of Hollywood The difference between her and others like Jen Aniston, Blake Lively, Bar Rafaeli, Paris Hilton, is that she actually had talent. I don't like that her death is being used as a critique of modern entertainment industry. I think it had very little to do with her death aside from the fact of providing her enough fame to get to her head and make her, like many before her, think she's invincible. It also provided her money to fuel her drug addiction.
But in the end, what killed her is her drug addiction, her lack of self-control, and her unwillingness, or by that point, unableness to get help.
Like others have said, even if drugs didn't kill her this time around, a residual infection, or organ failure as a result of long-term drug abuse could have.
It's very tragic, not just because of her talent, but it's tragic when any person dies from drug use. It's ridiculous, because all drugs are is a trick chemical that tells the brain it's important when it's not anything. It's amazing how much power it can have over people if they let it. And all of this for nothing: just a simple little chemical triggering the reward centers of the brain meant to make you continue to do behaviors essential for survival. Bizarre when you think about it.

Well I can't say anything about her talent, b/c I never heard her sing or seen her performed, all I know about her is what I see in the photos, but somehow I feel sorry for her, she seemed troubled by something, yet another performer gone, and at such a young age, pity...but drugs do that......

Poor girl. Her addiction may have masked, or caused some other physical ailment (e.g., bacterial endocarditis, from IV drug use). At any rate, she left a very positive mark on the world, as a first-rate singer. May she rest in peace.

The cause of death was my peen. I tried weening her off of it but she wanted more. Then im like NOPE can't have anymore. Her body went through a massive withdrawal and shut down.
If it wasnt Drugs directly (OD) that killed her, I am positive it was drugs related, i.e. organ failure, depression induced suicide, thinking she could fly, etc etc.
