After bagging a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her leading role in Kathryn Bigelow’s “Zero Dark Thirty,” the new year is starting out beautifully for actress Jessica Chastain. Last year, she received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 2011’s “The Help,” so I hope Jessica’s getting used to all the attention!
Last night at the 18th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, as expected, Jessica Chastain was honored with the Best Actress award. Unless nine-year-old actress Quvenzhané Wallis can work miracles, I think Jessica will probably go on to win the Oscar. I feel like from a difficulty standpoint, Quvenzhané’s role in “Beasts of the Southern Wild” is more deserving of the honor, especially considering her young age! The Academy is filled with a bunch of bullshit & if they couldn’t show Gabourey Sidibe any love for her work in “Precious,” why would they change now?!View All Photos ›
